I do respect Dr P's opinion - seems to me he has a talent to read people very well.

But is that what we have here without question? Who could be the sexual predator/ deviant known to AG? Who has that history?

Quoted from Woodland:

The problem is that we'll never know thanks to the Young Offenders Act. Anyone in Audrey's life could have mutilated animals, murdered people, done horrific acts before the age of 18 and we'll never know. No one will ever know. The young offenders will spend three years in a place like Syl Apps and be placed back into the high school system. The teachers in those schools will never know. No one will ever know. It's almost unbelievable......

I struggle with AG leaving everything to a bff, leaving the document in plain sight, but making the bff look for what constituted 'everything'. If there was an attachment listing bank accounts, investments etc then the total, by law, should have been easily inserted in the probate doc. Plus the value of the new car.

Cannot recall the source that the executor had to go from bank to bank looking for AG's accounts - so do not know where to begin looking.

Looking through recent posts I think we are still stuck between the apparently odd financial elements just one of which is the will and the alleged sexual violence.

Financial: bizarre because it does not appear to be simple we have multiple actors apparently benefiting.

As I have said there could be more than one crime so a sex murder and then a crime of opportunity re the will etc.

That is so cool FromGermany - an excellent idea, imo. A fine of the same amount could be levied against the perp when found guilty so the money could be recouped. Seize all their assets etc.

Hope you are able to contact HPS via their website about this idea!

I wish we had more info to work with. For example - finances!!!! I've read discussions about this in earlier threads and read over some of those posts again last night. PK gave us some info about the condition of AG's estate when she passed.

I've seen some compelling theories discussed and now I'm asking myself, WHERE did her money GO?

It seems she worked steadily for all of her adult life, had no kids, didn't travel, didn't appear to spend extravagantly (other than her flashy car), was reportedly FRUGAL (not using her AC etc), so WHAT did she spend all her earnings on? If the house was left to her by her ex when they split, what expenses did she have? I find it baffling that she only had approximately $50k in personal assets and a house worth $415k? Did she contribute to RRSPs in addition to her teacher's pension?

Did she stash cash in her home? It's been stated that she mostly paid for things with cash and made large cash withdrawals of hundreds of dollars at a time. Was she hiding it away? If so, where did it go? Did LE find cash in the home? Was this part of the reason she protected her home/privacy? Did someone know it was there?

How much is a brand new Camaro?

I haven't check this site for a long time so trying to catch up a little. I have always believed she was giving her money to someone close to help support them. I think she was being taken advantage of this way, where else could the money go? In turn she expected a little more than help, company and friendship, perhaps a little too possessive of this person and in the end they resented her intrusion into their personal life. Just MO

We don't actually know what AG had in the way of money and or investments. We know that no substantial dollar amount was reported in the probate docs.

AG could have had money not reported in these docs. She may have only had $50K in cash and investments.

With that confirmation missing, imo one should look at what is reasonable for what is reportedly a clever person. AG bought a new Camaro and left herself with $50K to live on? Why not keep what she had or buy a used one?

I think if AG were alive, she would have found flight MH370 within a week. Jmo.

I keep making the same error when I post about the $50K cash in the probate docs.

Since AG's new and expensive car was a known asset, by law, it should have been part of that $50K - it was not something that the executrix had to look for, and a lawyer filed it in court. This lawyer should have know what made up the $50K.

If one went exceedingly low on a re-sale value of the Camaro, say $30K, then the probate docs are saying AG had only $20K to live on after this new purchase. If the car was valued higher, then the other cash was lower.

I find that so hard to swallow about AG in particular. Someone else with a history of recklessness, maybe.

JV still appears to be in jail in Florida.

Bumping for Audrey.

A little bit of DNA might go a long way.

Who is JV?

LV's nephew. The "j" is for a long version of "Jon". If you search this tread for the name or initials, you'll find discussions we've had.

Thanks PP :)

I did search the thread with the initials but got an error that the search terms were 'too short or common', and didn't know what the initials stood for in order to search the name. Now I will!

For a while there, I'd almost given up. :tantrum: But recently I've become completely addicted to some real life cases on OWN TV. The two we especially are getting a bit of hope from are 'Motives/Murder' and 'Murder She Solved'. It seems that more often than not, LE find their perp in the first one or two people they had interviewed in the first place. Crimes are often solved many years later and it (most likely) takes LE back to the very first people on their suspect list.

So......we'll keep on truckin' here. :please:

Almost every day I'm briefly looking for news in Audrey's case and I'm always disappointed. Nothing new in the media and here on WS. But I'm hoping for sudden breakthrough someday.

Surely if DNA had been found in Audrey's case, it would be compared to this alleged perp's DNA.
The man originally charged in Audrey's murder was released after it was declared there was no reasonable chance of conviction, or something to that effect, yet this man is going in for the 4th time.
While it may be true that often the first couple of suspects in a case turn out to be the culprit, iirc, we do not know ALL the early suspects in Audrey's case.
That is why I am posting this here.... jmo
Hmm, nurse dragged to creek, reminds me of S.V.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/hamil...-extremely-rare-fourth-murder-trial-1.2603019

"Ontario's top court has ordered an "extremely rare" fourth trial for a man charged with first-degree murder in the 1981 killing of a nursing assistant.

It has been 33 years since Diane Werendowicz was dragged into a ravine, allegedly sexually assaulted, strangled and dumped in a creek in the Hamilton area.

'There is a strong public interest in a trial on all the legally admissible evidence and this swings the balance against a stay.'- Appeal Court decision

Robert Badgerow was arrested in 1998 and was convicted of first-degree murder several years later, but the verdict was overturned on appeal.

Ontario's Appeal Court orderedordered a new trial, but the second trial ended in a mistrial, with the jury unable to reach a verdict, and the third trial also ended in a mistrial."

Please make sure you have the proper links for statements involving friends of AG.

BBM

I frequently read the same thing these days NSU - more often than not, LE speaks to the perp almost immediately, however they may never be considered a perp at that time. They are not on LE's radar so to speak.

Another thing I heard recently on 'To Catch a Killer', also an OWN channel program, is (paraphrasing) 'The more staging that occurs at a crime scene, the more likely the killer was known to the victim'. The episode was of a Hamilton woman found murdered in her basement after her house was set on fire.

It makes so much sense - why spend the time staging the scene? Clearly the inference is, the killer is trying to cover their tracks and point away from themselves.

I mention this only in the context that I think AG's murder scene could have been staged to cover the real motive. Jmo.
