I'm thoroughly enjoying the review Paragirl.

Some contractors, workmen ect. might ask a client to put dogs away before they commence any work, especially with two large GS dogs.
Some dog allergy sufferers with either legitimate or " enhanced " symptoms, could ask or insist that Audrey crate the dogs, possibly even phoning ahead with the request. imo.

Just a thought here - was Audrey into social media like Twitter, FaceBook, etc.? Wondering if she had any ideas about setting up a social media site (or whatever they're called).

ETA:

Quoted from Paragirl:

4. Intellectual property/Ownership/Recognition – AG was very knowledgeable about computers/IT/Web design etc. Perhaps she assisted in the development of some new business idea and wanted credit/ownership in it and that wasn’t well-received. As above, perhaps a dispute/rift/avoiding etc. They visit and murder AG…

This is genius! Let's take a look at the way the world (unfortunately) still works - Audrey would "appear" to bankers/investors as being 'old, not with-it enough, not worth their effort, etc.' to put up the money IF she'd had an idea about a start-up Twitter-type thing. But PERHAPS someone else had the "right profile" to bankers/investors to use Audrey's ideas. THIS IS MERELY MY OWN OPINION WHILST THINKING OUT LOUD.

Hmmmm............

:drumroll:

Snipped.......

There are no POI's or suspects at this time according to LE. We need to be respectful of Audrey's friends and not be dragging them through our threads, kwim?
Salem

Just a reminder: We need to be respectful of Audrey's friends and not be dragging them through our threads as Salem reminded you back a few days ago.

Unless there is something significant, really significant and not say example, he said biscuits in one interview and said rolls in other, then sleuthing friends, relatives, etc. is against TOS. If you see a really significant difference in what is reported that can be discussed but remember MSM is not always 100% correct and don't we all know that.

One question. Where were the items that were found outside that belonged to the house found? Front yard, side yard, backyard. Did someone break in and try to carry the items away and drop them???

It also seems to me that what is described as having happened to Audrey in terms of taking something off of her during the act of killing her is a indicator of someone who could have some mental issues. And was this reported by LE or MSM?

If memory serves, they were scattered about the property. But, again if I recall correctly, LE didn't say what exactly or where. If someone else can provide a link, that would be helpful.

I don't think it was reported in MSM or by LE. That's why I asked about it a few posts back.

And since it sounds like she met with others who had computer interests (for example the coffee klatch has also been described as a "computer club", and a past classmate/friend shared her interest in IT/webdesign), I wonder if any others with whom she may have discussed that type of interest, if she had such an interest, was young and close. I wonder if she imparted knowledge and ideas to anyone about setting up a potentially lucrative venture and had the skills and knowledge, and possibly capital, to get something like that off the ground.

Youtube tends to have lots of interesting how-to videos about developing/designing applications. Lots of people seek out that type of knowledge. It would be very convenient to have a friend who has these types of skills, and who is, by most accounts, extremely intelligent, AND an experienced teacher to boot!

I started the media links reference for myself, initially, specifically to try to find something clarifying this. I didn't find a thing to support that any statements were made about a body part/trophy being taken. The horrific nature of the attack is repeated over and over, along with descriptions of a "sexual component", but no specifics.

So that could have been one reason they arrested the man from the barn. Not seeing the MSM article it sounds as if someone were trying to carry items away. Wish we knew what the items were? Canned goods, food, valuables????

Sorry for quoting myself but - I found this!

He spoke of a vicious stabbing but did not talk about other weapons — at least one other had been used — or the nature of the “sexual component” (it had included a perverse act that went beyond a conventional assault; the killer had taken something from the victim as though making off with a souvenir.)

I had this statement/link in my notes, but thought that I had made the note in brackets for myself, just as speculation!

Two more quick thoughts, and then I have to get off here for a bit.

Re items missing:
I have read, speculation, hearsay - A couple of rings, some petty cash, some electronics. Unconfirmed and not reported by MSM or by LE. I hope that doesn't violate TOS...

Re the car:
Could mean absolutely nothing - could be a matter of "all hands on deck", but did anyone else notice/wonder about this - we know that the Camaro was removed from the scene by LE but can only speculate why - why would the collision reconstruction team be there at the scene?

http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Crime/2010/12/31/16719181.html

The house, which sits at the end of a long driveway, was wrapped in police tape. Collision reconstruction, forensic and canine officers could be seen on the property.

I work in a field in which we deal with collision reconstruction quite a bit, those officers have a very specific skill set, and while I recognize that even the collision recon officers are trained to handle other areas of police work, would HPS have so few homicide officers available to them that they would need to call in everyone, including the collision recon team? Makes me wonder if there wasn't something going on with the Camaro that required some looking at.

Snipped for brevity -

Thank-you for finding that Paragirl!

The statement is attributed to Hrab in the article dated Sep 2011 - who was looking for a stranger at the time of the murder.

It's interesting that by Dec 2011 LE had shifted to someone 'known' to AG - the circumstances of her death couldn't have changed. Could they? Or just how the murder was carried out was perceived?

Switching to someone known to AG always made me doubt the veracity of what was found at the scene. Inside and out. Jmo.

Were the collision reconstruction team called in for having the ability to 'download' any info on computer chips in the car? When it was last driven etc?

Yes, I did also find a Golden Net comments forum, an some of the posts talked about the service before the buy out vs the service after. It definitely was bought by Execulink at some point but I couldn't be bothered to read through all the posts to try and pin down a timeline on that. Although I guess it could be relevant wrt whether or not webmail was available before Execulink took over.

PS I apologize for bringing up so many ideas/theories that seem to have already been discussed. I have read through the previous threads (most of them), but there are a LOT of them, lots to remember! Hopefully something new will come out of it.

No worries .. it's in going over things again and again that something might pop up. For example ...

I just remembered that in checking out the ISP at the time, I posted that the ISP registration names of the Admin appeared to be fake/jokes

As unhelpful as I felt my doggy post was, something else just hit me. BOTH Ms Hissy Fit and Mr. Galute, although appearing polar opposites in their day-to-day dispositions ... you would NOT raise your hand too close beside me without getting their serious attention.

IOW, if Audrey's dogs were within reach, IMO they would not have gone wuss or stood idly by while she was attacked. I believe they may have been lured into another room.

I don't think so either. My German Shepard once bit the paperboy because he put his arm over the fence to throw the paper and my 6 month old daughter was sitting by the fence in her stroller. jmo

I'm pretty sure it would include that, and any forensic evidence of whether the car had been tampered with in any way (alarm system, door locks), soil samples in tire treads, etc. Haven't found info specific to Hamilton Police Services, but in Halton Region for example, the CR unit is a specialized team within the Forensic Identification Unit:

Do you think they were focusing on the yard where the items from the home were found? Seems to me if there was still snow on the ground footprints would be something they would want to preserve in pictures, especially next to the items that were found. Taping off the area would be a natural thing to do and a specialized unit should be the one investigating, not the detectives. jmo
