I have been searching x hours to clear up, wether an offender has the opportunity, with the help of a lawyer, to protect his personal rights. May be, JV could ban media reports because of the sexual offense? I have no idea and unfortunately I hadn't become smarter while reading 1000 texts.

On twitter LV (sister) one could see a nice foto from both JV and LV. He looks a little bloated and he looks like the "not certainly known" man.

Another pic I think looks like Mr. Unknown is JV's FB profile pic. Also, if you google image the horse named "ss san remo", the first pic that comes up is a group with JV in it.

Yes, the family cottage is right on Lake Couchiching. It's about a 15 minute drive north on Rama Rd to Camp Couchiching in Longford Mills. Rama Rd is the same one that Casino Rama is on. Sis moved there (I think within the last year, and I can't recall if to the cottage or another house in town .. I think it was the cottage). I posted about it some time ago in either this forum or Sonia's.

They apparently had enough to sentence him to 8 years in a US prison. It was certainly noteworthy in MSM when he was arrested and charged as a Canadian in the US. Normally there is follow up in the MSM, and it should be equally noteworthy that he received a lengthy sentence for his noteworthy crime in the US.

Sorry I misread the post. I thought it said LE was quiet on "THIS" case not on "HIS" case.
I was thinking LE really has nothing on Audrey's murder that is why they are being quiet. I misread the post. Sorry for the confusion.

Just now I have googled ss san ... and looked at the pic. Yes, this handsome man (as I thought sometimes before but didn't tell you) could even be DM. Height and stature seems to be similar. Fascinating somehow, but certainly a coincidence.

Camp Wahanowin and the YMCA camp are in that general area, aren't they? I seem to recall a small general store/post office at Longford Mills. I'm sure the area has changed since the mid 80's though.

For the record, Sonia didn't live in Orillia; she lived in Orangeville, but she worked with Camp Couchiching for a couple of weeks each summer for a few years. The Camp is in Longford Mills, 15 mins north of where JV's family home on the lake is. Would be interesting to know if JV was ever a camp counsellor or such with the Camp.

Sorry, I don't see any similarity of the two pics being Vanstone. J. Vanstone spent time in Orangeville/Caledon area, I believe someone pointed that out on this thread. Am I right on that?
I wonder if he had a connection to Sonia's murder. Her car was parked behind a TAC shop by the killer who abandoned it there.

Jumping off your post Woodland ... and thinking of Shelley's case. On one of JV's friend's FB, the girl has a great pic of herself and her horse in front of one of the stalls ... JV has commented (in caps) "GREAT PHOTOGRAPHER". Left me with the impression it was him who took the pic. FWIW, and not that i can make anything out of it right now, but he also has a FB friend BR who is an equine/sports photographer. OR, now that I think of it, maybe he admires whomever took the pic.

Arghhh ... now have to re-find the FB account to find the date of that comment.
