Canada - Austyn Godfrey, 25, suspicious death, 16 Jan 2022, found in dog park in Kelowna BC

The name of the man in the picture is MMK <full name redacted> and he was Austyn’s ex boyfriend that she was trying to get away from. As far as I know he has been arrested on other charges at the moment and is in custody unless he got bail. But as far as Austyn’s case goes it’s still under investigation and the police are not telling me anything.

There is a 22 year old man by that name in the news in the last couple of weeks. Did they meet in Kelowna?

This is the first time I'm reading about this. Given the "high risk" lifestyle that is mentioned, and possible drug use, I'm curious whether toxicology results have been released.

We know that bad (deadly) drugs are circulating. My son had a friend, age 27, who recently moved to BC. Within a few weeks he was deceased. Bad drugs.

I want to add that bad drugs is not a reason to dismiss a death ... if drug toxicity is somehow related. Bad drugs in Kelowna, where there has been more than one death due to bad drugs in the past year, means that the person who is distributing bad drugs is responsible for the deaths. This is especially important if there are several deaths in the same age group due to fentanyl toxicity in the last few months.

I'm curious about the toxicology report.

Do we know why Austyn pointed a finger at someone who she thought would be responsible for her death a week before her body was found?

Do we know what Austyn did for a living? She was a pretty girl. Was she a hostess or server, work in a clothing store, at the age of 25 did she have a profession? My first impression was that she could make an income as an influencer.

Without repeating hearsay, I could not find any MSM or LE statement about why she was afraid of the man. Given that the screenshot included his face, car, and Snapchat information, I highly doubt LE did not look into him. I don't know if I can mention his previous charges since the articles state his name and I'm assuming he is not an official POI :/

As for her toxicology report, the LE stated that they have done an autopsy but are not willing to share any of the details. I'm guessing that tox report would be included in there...

This is what Austyn's friend from Kingston had to say about it;
" Matt Kennedy, a friend from Godfrey’s hometown of Kingston, told Capital News that he saw concerning posts from Godfrey’s social media shortly before her death.

“She literally posted ‘if I wind up dead it is ‘cause (sic) of this guy,” said Kennedy. "

" Henry does not personally know the man pictured in Godfrey’s posts but said that he was allegedly “extremely abusive to her and she had been trying to leave him for a long time.” "

MOO, but there are 2 posts on her Instagram talking about leaving an abusive relationship. One in recent where she describes how good it is to leave the abuse behind, and one from 2020 showing a large bruise and detailing that she was a victim of domestic abuse. But it is unclear to me whether or not that is the same person since the relationship is only described as having gone on for "a while".
