So 6 days after he went missing his car was found not too far away. Does that mean 1-5 days after he went missing it was not at that location? Also besides his home being so close by, what else was closer... A friends house? A store he went to? Was the car abandoned by strangers?

There's also the young man from England that vanished in the Vancouver area. He went on a day hike and didn't return, so the people he was staying with reported him missing. His father flew to Vancouver and made a plea, but returned to England to console his wife.

Has he been located?

Tom Billings, no he was not located. The belief is he went off hiking and was hurt or went in the water. Witnesses put him near Grouse Mountain, asking for directions if I recall...

The skeletal remains were discovered by a hiker in the mountains near North Vancouver in November 2004. For years, the police and coroners service tried to identify the victim with no luck.

But thanks to the use of a locally developed enhanced identification model and a hit on the BC Coroners Service DNA database, authorities now know the identity: 20-year-old Dante Ponzanetti was reported missing to Vancouver Police in June 2003.
