Body discovered in slough on One Arrow First Nation

A body was discovered in a slough on the One Arrow First Nation, near Batoche, Sask., Tuesday afternoon, RCMP say.
Officers were called after a resident of the community came across the body, which was floating in a large slough.
According to RCMP, their initial observations suggest the body may have been in the water for some time.
They said the age, sex and identity of the body could not be immediately determined.
Several specialized RCMP officers were assisting with the investigation, including an underwater recovery team and officers from their major crimes unit and a forensics unit.
They said they expect to be on the scene until late in the evening.
The One Arrow First Nation is about 100 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon.
