I don't know if this is common outside of Quebec but I have seen so so many (fairly) minor (some not so minor) discrepancies like dates and ages, etc, as I've been going through cases from the Quebec Coroner's Office to post here on WS.

As for this missing gentleman, depending on which reporting is correct, this UIP could be a potential match, however the UIP has a tattoo that is not mentioned in the MP reports, but I will post it anyway.
