Pawel Gazdzicki est d'origine polonaise. Il a été vu pour la dernière fois le 11 avril 1992 à Montréal. M. Pawel était étudiant à l'Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS). Il était déprimé, souffrait de problèmes de santé mentale et pourrait avoir perdu la mémoire. Il aurait mentionné vouloir se jeter en bas du pont Champlain. Sa tenue vestimentaire lors de sa disparition est inconnue.
