This is my opinion as well. Interesting to imagine a perp joining WS and following the thread - I've seen it mentioned on other cases here, and it's highly likely. Any time I google info on Ben, WS pops up as a source of info. It might not be a good idea to point a finger at someone specifically, though, as no one has even been named as a POI.

But who knows, it just may be we have more to say than LE, at the moment, and maybe are a better read. We definitely have far from solved anything, though. JMO

Yeah, we never know.
IMO, the perp/s are expecting the dreaded LE visit, they just don’t know when.
I suppose for a lot of us, our interest is the “why” factor. At least it is for me. Why do people kill or commit otherwise heinous crimes realizing they are going to be caught.
How can one’s hatred for another run so deep?
No one could push me to the nth degree. I’m not giving my life/freedom up over a ridiculous spat.

Two different females with the first name Tracy. One an office manager of NR, another an RCMP constable. If we get the two confused our theories certainly would reach way beyond far left field!
Tracy close enough, but her name is actually Tammy. She's been quoted as well in several beginning MSM reports.

I would like to know the "why" as well. But I mostly want to come on here and see Ben has been found so he can be sent back home, and also that someone has been arrested and made to pay for that nth degree/ridiculous spat or whatever it was that induced another person to take his life.

You’re right. Tracy - Tammy.

Even two greater differences in names!

Yes on the “why” - Whatever the motive - first degree, 2nd degree, manslaughter, criminal negligence causing death - the entire realm of possibilities ranges from a preplanned assassination type scenario to a stupid, thoughtless interaction that unintentionally caused death.

Depending on the truth, hatred may not’ve been involved at all. A life time of regret has also be caused for many a person with sudden and uncontrolled anger.

Hopefully one day soon we’ll get some more msm news.
I have a friend headed to Ca tomorrow, pulling a huge load of horses. I’m making a list of places he needs to visit, lol.

The suggestion of "targeted" as stated by LE leads me away from unintentional. JMO. I hope whoever did it, does have a guilty enough conscience to come forward and fess up.

Really! Or, by now, someone might suspect someone. Hopefully the tip line & interviews led RCMP to a suspect & now they only need that last piece of the puzzle.
I do believe their latest press release to in part be a warning to the perp/s.
No matter where we live, news is filled with more & more crime. Will people ever learn? Or do they simply think it’s worth taking a life? Or, that they will never be caught?
IMO, Ben was murdered & his murderer went to the nth degree to cover tracks but in actuality, gave up more clues.

Targeted makes it so much worse, imo.
Considering all we’ve heard, Ben was a good hearted, kind man. Surely he thought any problems could be addressed without violence. I shudder to think someone he was having problems with caught him off guard, Ben never suspecting things to go so far.

I think the RCMP are turning up the heat a notch or two as it appears nobody has yet come forward and confessed. Notice how they frame their statement with “could have” so it’s really not a statement of fact.

“RCMP Sgt. Janelle Shoihet says she can’t share why, but police now believe the manager of the Nicola Ranch could have been a targeted victim.”
Disappearance of B.C. cowboy Ben Tyner 'likely' criminal, say RCMP

It feels protective of the investigation (and legalize) almost the same as qualifying potential crimes with the word alleged. But her statement plants the seed in the public's mind. I doubt she would have even mentioned it if it weren't a likelihood. I find LE doesn't much like to play their full hand when giving pc's or any public statement. IMO

The RCMP have classified the disappearance as “suspicious” but have not made a formal announcement of a homicide investigation. So I suppose if we take the word “targeted” literally, the question could be asked - targeted for what? Assault, robbery, death....?

Much like when Ben first went missing and it appeared there was a good chance he’d be found, it’s difficult to predict what comes next. But when LE suddenly take a missing persons case with no foul play suspected all the way up to a possible targeted crime with criminal involvement (aka premeditated murder) often the truth is somewhere in the middle. She chose her words carefully. Obviously saying too much could jeopardize the safety of a witness, for example.
Until the next press release, we have nothing to discuss, only rehashing the same articles, which say the same thing, only worded differently.
IMO, to “believe” is pretty much a sure thing. Like you said, she prob’ wouldn’t have mentioned it otherwise. Now the suspect/s know, so Tick Tock.
Time to find a new case. There’s no shortage of them.

Maybe branch out towards the West a bit? Luke Neville, 48, has been missing from Spences Bridge, BC, since the Fall of 2017. Luke has never been found, but his white van was soon located, burned out on a nearby logging road. Spences Bridge is connected directly to Merrit by road. Could there be any connection to Ben's disappearance? Luke Neville is on WS. Sorry, I don't know how to connect.

What about Dean Morrison ?He went missing just up the road from NR at the Stump lake Ranch Four years later, and still no leads on Dean Morrison's disappearance - Merritt Herald

I'd like to know who fed the horses at NR on Sunday. If the
horses were all in paddocks and kept where the working horses
were, someone had to be responsible for feeding on Sunday.
Would they have noticed if Gunny was missing. Was Gunny
missing or still there on Sunday. I think Gunny was still there
til early, early Mon. morning. Shortly before being found,
say around 4-4:30am someone dropped Gunny off up
on the mountain and swatted her to run off from the trailer.

Also early on several msm reports claimed Ben was last seen
on Saturday night. We need more details on this.
My guess is some type of altercation happened Sat. night.
Was Ben at home on the ranch or out at a local bar or a private
get together?
Witchy1, I tend to agree with you that the perps could be
posting AND watching this thread. One is checking the comments here but not posting ANYMORE..
I think LE is hot on their trails also.
I also question how some of the information one knew about
Ben's horse tack came to be. There were no photos, to my knowledge, taken when Ben's horse was found. So the fact that this poster 'knew' the type of bit that was on Gunny's bridle
when found makes me twitch a little.
I hope LE is watching this thread. Maybe someone needs to
tip them off. hint.

Ahemmm

Until this case I never realized the amount of missing persons in Ca.

Yes, and not drifter types either. Ben, a good-looking, successful fellow, who had worked all over the world, then disappears near Merritt. Luke, a good-looking, former 6-year professional fireman from Ontario, who comes West, and suddenly disappears from small Spences Bridge. Their 2 homes not too far apart and connected by road. Is there a common denominator, something that possibly connects these mens' sudden disappearances?

They say its better to come forward then to get caught, when it comes to the charges, getting laid, and chance of parole down the line... either way will serve time, so up to the them, how they would like their prison term to be.. IMO if ok to have one.
