Stouffville business owner seeks help finding missing son

"Kim Everson wants your help finding her missing son.

The owner of the Stouffville Florist shop for the last 35 years said her 31-year-old son Benjamin Everson went missing July 11. She said her son had been troubled for many years but still would contact her on a daily basis, sometimes multiple times a day. The 31-year-old, who is described as vulnerable, has no access to money.



“We are concerned for his well-being,” she said. “This is to help people find him, locate him and make sure he is safe.”


Durham Regional Police said Benjamin Everson left a family member's home in Uxbridge July 11 and hasn’t been heard from since. He was renting a room in Ajax and may have taken a bus to Oshawa, police said. He was carrying a backpack when last seen."

"He doesn’t have access to money and his family is worried about his well-being.

He was recently renting a room in Ajax.

He’s described as white, 6′ tall, about 170 lbs. with brown hair, brown eyes and clean shaven. He was last seen carrying a backpack.

On July 11, 2019 he was seen wearing black tank top, grey shorts with yellow vertical stripe, black baseball hat, sunglasses on hat, black backpack, and black and grey basketball shoes.

  Body of missing man located in Uxbridge
• April 6, 2020The body of a 31-year-old man missing since July of 2019 has been located by police.

According to the Durham Regional Police, the body of Ben Everson was discovered on March 29 in the area of Davis Drive and Regional Road 1 in Uxbridge.

“Testing done by the Centre of Forensic Sciences confirmed that it was the missing male. There were no signs of foul play,” reads a media release from police.''
