Wow, she really does look similar, great find!

I emailed the investigating officer and asked if she has been compared to the UID, they did say begore in an email that all missing persons had been compared but I'm thinking she was just added as I check Canada's missing weekly and have never seen her. Here's hoping and waiting for an email back

I emailed Diana Trepkov, who did the reconstruction as I know some sites state she is native and some say mixed. I asked her honest Opinion on what the remains were and she had the lead detective who investigated her remains and the area she was found contact me:

Jessica, I was one of the investigators on the found human remains at Holt Road. Thank you for your interest in the file. I will be able to answer some of the questions.



Yes the female was Caucasian. We were not able to tell how tall she was due to the fact all her remains were not found. Some of the larger bones may have assisted in estimating her height, however they were never recovered. The remains are 100% female. The forensic anthropologist estimated her age between 18 – 30 years of age. They could not estimate how long the remains have been in place, only that the remains had been at the site for two to ten years, possibly longer.



We are still attempting to identify this female. There is also a facebook page, “Please help identify this woman”. It has some photographs of artifacts found at the site which may assist in identifying the female.

This case bothers me. Everytime I drive past the recovery location, I think of this Doe.

The Darlington Nuclear expansion project is a 17 year deal. It is major. How did you make out, did LE advise the general contractor about the possibility of unearthing further remains?

They said the search was "thoroughly done", IMHO thoroughly done means all parts recovered which they were not. I believe them to have dropped the ball since the expansion is being built directly over top of where she was found and no contact has been made to the developers, if they find a wallet or small bones they won't stop the dig. Sad, and I have yet to find out of Alexandria has been matched or even looked at, no one has contacted me.

Not sure if Olimpia Lucia MIKSZAN was submitted as a possible match or not but her circumstances do fit the UID considering she was found by the Highway. Also, Olimpia was believed to be wearing a ring made of 14-karat
reddish-coloured gold with a coral stone.

Wish there were more photos out there of Olimpia.

Details of Disappearance
Olimpia Mikszan, 18, was last seen on June 21, 1996, outside her rental suite. Having just completed high school with honours, the talented art student was disappointed she was not accepted into the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver.
Olimpia had recently told friends she was going on a hitchhiking trip across Canada and that she might go backpacking elsewhere in British Columbia. Police say she left nearly all her belongings at her residence. Her wallet with about $130 cash, a blue backpack and her Canadian citizenship papers were the only things missing.
Though she’d been living on her own for about a year prior to her disappearance, Olimpia often visited her family for dinners and to take her two younger sisters on outings. Police are at a loss to explain what happened to her.Her mother describes Olimpia as caring, well mannered and clean living, a loving daughter and an “independent soul.”

The time frame might be a little off the estimate, but just enough details match to make me consider Christine Ziomkiewicz as a possibility, particularly that it was made note of that she'd previously had a rhinoplasty and this Jane Doe could have had one as well. There is amateur artist I know of who is quite talented, her name is Cleo, who works well with skeletal remains in particular. She saw the retcons for this UID and thought the same thing herself, so she tried her hand at it. I think her end results actually would look more recognizable to someone that knew her than the official 3-D/clay bust versions; to me they closely resemble the forensic sketch that was done for her (visible on her Doe Network profile). I'm not sure if I can display the pictures here right off but can provide a link to them that doesn't return to her personal website (I do know that I can't do that.)

I think there is a strong possibility that this could be Christine Ziomkiewicz, but before I submit her I wanted to hear what more about what others think and get more input on the theory.

There are only sparse details available for this Jane Doe as her remains were partial, and there are very few details for Christine's missing person's case but there just too many parallels between the two for me. BJD's skull and apparently some hand bone fragments were all that could be recovered, likely due to the passage of time; it was estimated that the bones had been at the site for a number of years prior to their discovery, potentially as many as 10-25 at the maximum end of the range. That would very roughly put her death sometime between 1980 and 1996. 1978 is only slightly above the max approximation of the likely time frame. Christine also fits the few known collected demographics of BJD. The one item that is really striking to me that they both have in common just seems too unlikely to be a rather remarkable coincidence otherwise: Christine is known to have had plastic surgery preformed on her nose. It was noted after this UID's skull was examined that a distinguishing feature present was that she is believed to have had a rhinoplasty during her lifetime; most likely preformed for cosmetic reasons, because she had broken her nose/or had some other issue like deviated septum, and it had to be surgically repaired; or possibly a combination of the two. Even though I've only seen one picture of Christine and it isn't the best quality, and the issues I have with the reconstructions, I can see some degree of a resemblance. On top of all that, Bowmanville, Ontario is only about 120 miles/200 kilometers from Kingston, Ontario where she went missing is basically in a straight line down ON-401 West. Thoughts?.....
