She said Thursday morning was just like any other morning. A nurse at the Civic Hospital, she left for work around 6:30 a.m. and Brett was getting their two-year-old son, Franklin, up and ready for daycare. He dropped the boy off at daycare but he didn’t show up at the 4 p.m. pickup. He wasn’t answering his phone.

Brett’s dad, Gord, picked up the boy from daycare. The family learned that Brett left his phone and wallet at home.

Brett currently works exclusively from home.

I found that on Facebook so I hope it's okay to post. It shows what he was last seen wearing.

BBM, is that where the daycare is, where his bike was found, or another sighting?

I believe Avro Circle is the road/neighborhood where he lives.

From another article:

"He was last seen this morning in the Avro Circle area (intersection of Aviation Pkwy and Hemlock Rd) in the East end."

I would assume this was on his bike as his bike was found later off of Aviation Pkwy. However, there's also an Aviation Pathway, which I assume is a bike path, that follows Aviation Pkwy right past the Museum near where his bike was found.

So sad that their aren't any significant developments in finding Brett. It's getting difficult to imagine that he isn't in the river. Of course he could have simply needed a break from responsibilities and is just holed up somewhere.

Where are you Brett?? Just reach out and let people know if you are o.k.

Ottawa police say human remains were located in the water in the area of Sir George Etienne Cartier Parkway and C.H. Airport-Marina Road on Saturday afternoon. The remains were recovered by the Marine, Dive and Trails Unit.

Police say a forensic identification process confirmed Wednesday the remains are those of Brett O'Grady, 35, who has been missing since last October.

Investigators have concluded that foul play is not suspected in O'Grady's death.

The article says “The remains were recovered by the Marine, Dive and Trails Unit.”

Was the dive unit looking for him? Or were they training and just came upon his remains.

How sad for his family… I’m glad he was found so they wouldn’t have to wonder forever where he was.

<bold by me>

Not surprising, but I wish it hadn't taken 8 months to find Brett. (Not criticizing the police in any way.)

So sad. I want to wrap my arms around the family. :'(
