I found an article in the Calgary Herald that seemed to pertain to this Jane Doe. According to this article, the RCMP believed that she has been removed from a grave site.

The UID female had suffered from a disease called Brucellosis, which apparently is very rare in Canada.
From link, thanks..

Brucellosis - Wikipedia
''Brucellosis induces inconstant fevers, miscarriage, sweating, weakness, anemia, headaches, depression, and muscular and bodily pain. The other strains, B. suis and B. canis, cause infection in pigs and dogs, respectively. Overall findings support that brucellosis poses an occupational risk to goat farmers with specific areas of concern including weak awareness of disease transmission to humans and lack of knowledge on specific safe farm practices such as quarantine practices''

The RCMP spokesman said that brucellosis wasn't a common disease in Canada and suggested that she may have been from abroad. However, I found that there was an outbreak of brucellosis in Alberta in the late 1970s and early 1980s. I don't think people should look abroad for who this Jane Doe is.

I remember working on this case. One thing to note is that the brucellosis disease had an Alberta outbreak in the time frame when the Jane Doe would have been alive. She's probably not a foreigner, in my opinion. I think she's someone who is missing from an Alberta grave. Perhaps the family does not even know she is missing from the grave, hence no one is really looking for her. It's a strange case.

At this point I'm just hoping Alberta RCMP uses genetic genealogy to help id her and others

I'm convinced this is Julie Ann Derouin. I've submitted this, and was contacted by Lethbridge police to discuss.

-proximity to Lethbridge where she was last seen is <3 hour drive from where remains were found.
-affiliation with motorcycle gangs: multiple hot spots for motorcyclists around the Carbon area, ex. Wayne, Last Chance Saloon, Drumheller, East Coulee, to name a few.
-"may have had children", if all remains recovered, due to the pregnancy, especially if her first, her pelvic structure may not have changed enough yet to be definitive.
-coffin birth- although rare, the fetus could've been expelled due to the decomposition process, and subsequently taken by scavengers, leaving no trace of fetal remains at the site.
- the brucellosis may have never been formally diagnosed.
- the height and age fit. The facial bone structure is very similar.
-i can't find anything about her life prior to Lethbridge, not sure if anyone else has had luck with this.

Also, the DoeNetwork on Julie Ann Derouin says that she moved from BC to Lethbridge in 1979. The Brucellosis headlines I found for Lethbridge are in 1980 so that would match up.

In the early journalism for this case, there was a suggestion that this Jane Doe has previously been buried. I always found that odd as there are many reasons for that.

Please update if you have anything you can share!

I submitted 4976DFMT - Diane Lynn Medicinehorse, missing from Montana, as a potential match. Available photos are blurry but they look quite similar to me and vital statistics all line up. Brucellosis is much more common in Montana than Alberta.
