Alberta RCMP’s Missing Persons and Unidentified Human Remains Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying three individuals whose remains have been discovered in Alberta over the past 40 years.

Canada - Kananaskis County, Alberta, Asian Male, Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, 25-40, Sept 2013

There were signs of malnutrition or anemia at some point in life. Strong muscle development on arm and leg bones indicating he performed some kind of repetitive motion, like canoeing.

Suggests to me a migrant from a developing country, since it's unlikely (though not impossible) that someone would have malnutrition in Canada. Anaemia in those of Asian descent is more common than those of Anglo-Saxon heritage and can arise from certain inherited traits, rather than diet-related.

Where he was found is close to Banff, maybe he was a tourist?

I think this is Duc Binh Nguyen Dao??? Missing with his father Duc Thuan Dao.

His name is misspelled on Canada's missing, it should be Binh not Bihn.

Case Reference #2014005826

1676608798451.png

Age: 19
Bio Group: Asian
Height: 5'5"
Build: Slender/Thin
Circumstances: On June 4, 2012, the Banff RCMP were contacted by a tour company to report that Duc Dao and his son, Nguyen Dao of Vietnam did not arrive to board their bus at the scheduled time. The two men had been staying at the Banff International Hotel and there were no personal items left in their room. The two men were due to fly back to Vietnam two days later. However, they did not board their scheduled flight and it is unknown if they returned to Vietnam.

He's the right height, right time, and the right area. However, he is younger then the estimated age for this Doe. He went missing about an hour and a half from where this Doe was found.

His build is quite slender, could be connected to the possible anemia. The canoeing aspect for this Doe could also point to him, Vietnamese people sometimes use boating as transport if they live near water.

Side by side; wish we had a better picture of him though. Looks similar to me.

I would submit. That looks pretty dang close.

I submitted to the RCMP, they're not usually super forthcoming with information but if I do get updates I will post here. I'll be damned if this isn't him, I had that gut feeling when I saw a picture of Duc and Doe.

Identified per DoeNetwork - no name released as of now.

I checked Duc Binh Nguyen Dao's profile and it's also down.
