I’m not surprised. Thankfully her daughter was found alive. I’m hoping the mother gets the treatment and support she needs and hopefully have some type of relationship with her daughter in the future.

Quebec court Judge Bertrand St-Arnaud has ruled that the 34-year-old woman cannot be held criminally responsible by way of mental disorder.

I hope her treatment is successful and that everyone involved gets the emotional support they need. If and when the mom is back in her “right mind” (for lack of a better word), the full realization of what she did will likely be devastating.

Well, here's hoping that visitation is supervised until CB is a teenager at least. I doubt it will be though, guessing she'll be released from the psychiatric hospital by the end of the year with promises to keep taking her meds and custody of CB by the end of 2026.
