Last seen at 11 am Saturday. Reported lost at 3:30 pm? By an adult claiming to be responsible for the child? Odd, to me.

The Montreal Gazette article says reported lost at 3:30pm (which, I think, implies 3:30pm on Saturday.) But, the Montreal City News article says she was reported lost at 3:30pm on Sunday. I wish we knew which is correct.

and she is 3 years old but not reported missing until 3:30 pm? I need to read more detail on this one because that is a red red flag for me on its face.

ETA and now I am reading some reports state she was reported missing at 3:30pm on SUNDAY? A full 27 hours after last seen or "lost" This is very concerning.

Here is an "X" post by Surete du Quebec. It is in French. It says that she was reported missing at 15h30 dimanche. Dimanche = Sunday, so she was last seen at 11am Saturday and reported missing at 3:30pm Sunday.

I wish the media sources would take care to get the facts correct. All of the early sources say that she was last seen at 11am Saturday, June 14. Now this new CBC article says she was last seen Sunday morning. I believe that Saturday is correct based on LE information.

Officers have set up command posts in both LaSalle and Coteau-du-Lac. SQ spokesperson Jean-Raphaël Drolet says residents in both areas should check their yards and report any abnormalities.

Police are also searching near the Ontario border.

*****
Specialized search units worked overnight and will continue throughout the day with the support of helicopters and drones, he adds.

Yeah this is an odd case. Original release and statements were she was last seen Saturday at 11am. Now media is either say that time or Sunday at 11 am. I am now reading articles that say Sunday at 9:45 am.

or possible grandparent or relative

My first thought was wondering if it was a grandmother, perhaps with some sort of dementia issues that might help explain some of the vagueness here.

Yes, and might not have had a cell phone, so would need to seek out a place to call the police.

Really odd scenario. Red flags all over the place. Or is it a journalist error and she went missing on Sunday?

ETA: I just read the update in the ctv news, she went missing Sunday morning.

The person who was taking care of her at the time reported her missing at 3:30 p.m. in Coteau-du-Lac in the Montérégie region, almost an hour away.”

really confusing this timeline. It bothers me a bit that we still don't have definitive answers as to the last seen and when reported day/times.

They say the girl was reported missing Sunday afternoon in Coteau-du-Lac, Que., about 50 kilometres west of where she was last seen.

CB was last seen Sunday around 11 a.m. near Newman Blvd. Authorities say her current whereabouts are unknown and her family is concerned for her health and safety.
Missing 3-year-old girl from LaSalle could be in Montérégie, SQ say

Quebec provincial police are searching for a three-year-old girl who was last seen Sunday morning in Montreal.
[snip]
According to authorities, a woman who was caring for the girl entered a business in Coteau-du-Lac around 3 p.m. and said she couldn’t find the child.
Missing Quebec child: Police scrambling to find toddler who vanished in Montreal | Globalnews.ca

the most recent articles seem to agree seen at 11 am Sunday the 15th and reported missing around 3:30 pm that same afternoon.

So even the best case timeline scenario is worrisome. This child is 3 years old and it's now been what? 25 hours since last seen? Where is this cutie patootie?

three-year-old girl who went missing in the Montreal area over the weekend under unclear circumstances.

*****
Police are not explaining the connection between LaSalle, Coteau-du-Lac and Ontario, or offering hypotheses on what happened. Nor are they confirming whether the person who reported the child missing was a family member.

Police originally reported that the child was last been seen on Saturday at 11 a.m., but they changed that to Sunday after "new elements emerged," Avoine said.

Investigators are trying to determine what happened between 9:45 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday, Avoine said. "There are many elements to corroborate."

*****
In a video posted online, Quebec provincial police asked people to be on the lookout for a long-haired chihuahua with reddish-brown fur, who might have been with the girl. The circumstances of the disappearance "are not very clear," police said.
