Police still on scene after unidentified human remains found at North Dumfries farm

Waterloo Regional Police said that preliminary information points to the victim being male and having been at the farm “in the recent past.”

Drove by on my way to work.
There is a huge police presence, vehicles all on Clyde road, which is now closed to public.
Many police on Regional Rd 97 with large poles.
Looks like they are organizing a search of the bush

Waterloo Regional Police have released a photograph of this shoe belonging to an unidentified person whose remains were found on a farm in North Dumfries. They want to hear from anyone who recognizes the shoe.

From your link another pic of the shoe, not a common light blue colour of a shoe, not ones likely to be worn to walk around in the woods, imo.
Several men missing from Toronto, wondering about shoes worn... imo, speculation.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man, and have released photos of the shoes he was wearing, because they believe the shoes are distinct.

Missing person Brandon was said to be wearing white tennis shoes

There are few clues for investigators to go on. The body is believed to be that of a man, and it was wearing shoes that police hope somebody will recognize.

Other than that, nothing is known about the identity of the person or how they ended up in the field. The death is being treated as suspicious.

On Friday afternoon police confirmed they identified the remains of a man found in a farm in North Dumfries.
Police said they were those of 32-year-old man from Kitchener. They did not release his name, as next of kin still needed to be notified.
