That wording is a bit off, the jury does not recommend sentencing for 1st or 2nd degree murder. The automatic sentence for either is life. The jury comment makes it sound like there are recommending a sentence of 10-15 years - that's just when he could be eligible for parole - extremely unlikely he will get out in 10 years if ever. Given the horror of this crime, I don't understand why they wouldn't recommend the maximum which is 25 years until he could apply for parole.

Andrew Berry was finally sentenced - life without parole for at least 22 years. Hopefully he will never get out.
