I just watched The Christine Jessop Story on Netflix. Although I thought I was quite familiar with the horrible case there were many details I didn’t know about. Ken and his emotional recount of all the happenings over the decades from his personal perspective just broke my heart. No wonder the sorry saga tore his life apart over and over, I hope indeed he’s finally able to find peace and happiness and move forward. How police can become fixated on one suspect and then pressure witnesses so all the evidence lines up and an innocent person gets convicted certainly wasn’t their finest hour. How the media thrives on true crime and doesn’t always report it accurately was an eye opener. Clearly we do not live in a perfect world.

This is exactly why we need technology that can reduce uncertainty and get us to the truth faster. It’s not just about identifying who did commit a crime, its also about exonerating those who didn’t. Tools that anchor investigations in truth help protect everyone.
