I expect that quite a few podcast episodes will be generated by this case.

wow. I don't even know what to say to a pair engaged in such a lengthy and prolific spree of SA. I mean, how on earth were they getting away with this for 17 years??

''The suspects are intimate partners, according to police.

Police said to date, more than 400 charges have been laid in relation to at least 41 victims and investigators are still trying to identify a number of others who they believe were assaulted.

“I will say that this is the most prolific and disturbing case of child sexual abuse and exploitation in our service’s history,” Const. Alex Li told CP24 on Monday afternoon. “Having spoken to our investigators we still have a number of unidentified victims and are looking for the assistance of the public to have these victims come forward to police.”

I was wondering if MW was related to Elizabeth Wettlaufer (serial killer nurse).

I heard a news report that New Zealand LE had alerted Canadian Authorities about videos that were coming from Canada. The woman in this case is from New Zealand. I’m going to assume these are the people responsible.

Another note; this woman has a lot of children, 2 of which are deceased.

Looks like this is going to be a horrible case.

It is awesome though to see all the LE from around the globe working together to tackle this horrific problem..

the Toronto Police Service news conference can be viewed here.
Officials from New Zealand announced the global results of Operation H at a news conference on March 2, 2022, at 9 a.m. GMT+13. Their news release can be found here.
"The investigators who work in the Toronto Police Service’s Child Exploitation Section are some of the best-trained, most talented in the world," said Inspector Justin Vander Heyden, Unit Commander of Sex Crimes. "But they cannot do this work alone and we are grateful for the cooperation and support we have received from our partners in New Zealand, Interpol, Europol, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and Vancouver Police Department, among others. With this collaborative effort, the results of Operation H would not have been possible."

The two-year long operation has resulted in 836 cases internationally and 146 children safeguarded internationally.

''On Thursday, Wettlaufer pleaded guilty to 16 offences, including for making child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, voyeurism, assault and sexual assault related to nine victims while Wardlaw, 43, pleaded guilty to assault and forcible confinement linked to a tenth victim.

The court clerk took almost 45 minutes to arraign the pair on 80 offences at Old City Hall, where their trial on the remaining counts is now underway.

Police in February said the case involved at least 41 alleged victims.''

''After Wettlaufer’s initial arrest, he was released on bail in February 2021 under conditions that prohibited him from possessing or operating any device capable of making a photograph, video or audio recording. After his release, women began reporting to police seeing footage of themselves posted online without their knowledge or consent.

Police broadened their investigation and discovered 62 devices in Wettlaufer’s home including cameras, memory cards, thumb drives and numerous cell phones.
The trial continues.''
