Niagara police issue plea to missing man ‘Darren, please contact your family’ - CHCH
''Niagara police have issued another plea for help in locating a missing 58-year-old man.

Darren Werner was last seen around 9 a.m. on Sept. 16 in the area of Townline Rd. in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Police and Werner’s family are concerned for his welfare as he was last seen traveling in an unknown vehicle.

Last week, Niagara police conducted a ground search at his home and utilized a drone to scour the area.''

''Werner is described as being five-foot-eleven, 180 lbs, with short grey hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, ext. 1024325.''

Niagara Regional Police continue search for 58 year old Darren Werner

''Niagara Regional Police have released a new video as they continue to look for a missing 58 year old man from Niagara-On-The-Lake.

Detective Sergeant Richard Gauthier says the investigation is ongoing and urges anyone with information on the disappearance of Darren Werner to come forward.

He also urged Werner to contact his family if he sees the video.

Werner has been missing since September 16th when he was last seen in the area of Townline Road.''

Hi I am new to forums and to this site. Actually this is my first post.
I was looking on your forum for Canadians that are missing and didn't see any so I thought I would start my posting "career" here with reporting some of the people missing in Ontario.


On September 16, 2021, at approximately 7:00 a.m., Darren Werner was last seen at his residence in the town Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario. It is possible that Darren had gotten into an unknown vehicle.

Disappearance of NOTL man 'the most bizarre thing' detective has seen in 25 years

“We have a lot of questions, but not a lot of answers,” investigators say after family members failed to locate their father on his property

''The detective tasked with finding missing NOTL man Darren Werner says the disappearance, at this stage, is the most bizarre thing he has seen in 25 years.

“How can you, in 2021, vanish without a trace? It is mind blowing, because I have never seen it before,” said Det. Sgt. Richard Gauthier in an interview with ThoroldToday.

“We have a lot of questions, but not a lot of answers.”

It was on September 16 that Darren Werner, 58, a Niagara-on-the-Lake resident who police describe as a general worker and handyman who stores cars on his property as part of his profession, was reported missing by family members who could not find the man at the property they live at together.

Det. Sgt. Gauthier said family members could not find a rational explanation as to why Werner would be missing, or where he had gone.''

At the time of his disappearance, police said foul play was not suspected. Niagara police said Thursday the investigation remains an open missing person case. “This investigation remains a suspicious missing persons case which is being investigated by detectives with the homicide unit partly due to the length of time Mr. Werner has been unaccounted for,” said NRP acting Staff Sgt.
