Ontario Provincial Police have set up a designated tip line in hopes of locating a missing woman.
The Lambton OPP crime unit said efforts continue to locate 34-year-old Deanna Timms, who was last heard from in late February 2021.
She’s described as white, 5’4″ tall, about 120 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
Police are concerned for Timms wellbeing and are asking the public for assistance in locating her.
A dedicated tip line and e-mail address have been set up for any information regarding her whereabouts.
Anyone with information is asked to call 1-844-677-9402 or e-mail police at [email protected].

“It’s still an active investigation, so we have to be careful how many details we let out because we want to make sure that we continue with the integrity of the investigation,” he said.

Police also declined to say if foul play was suspected in Timms’ disappearance of if the woman was previously known to police.

“We just can’t get into it at this point,” Bydeley said. “Right now, we’re just concerned for her safety and her well-being, and we’d like to speak with anybody that has information about her.”

Much of the concern for her well-being stems from the amount of time she’s now been missing, Bydeley added. The officer said he wasn’t sure if there’s a threshold for establishing a dedicated tip line or email in a missing person case.''

“We might already have it. That’s OK,” he added. “We’d rather have it twice than not have it at all.”

Police first posted on Twitter in February 2022 about Timms’ disappearance, including a claim she’d possibly been seen as recently as August 2021.

Bydeley said he believed she had possibly been sighted in the Sarnia area. While that claim has been “investigated quite a bit,” it hasn’t been confirmed, he noted.

“So we’re backtracking to the most recent confirmed interaction with her, which was February of 2021.”

It seems odd to me that Deanna has been missing for a year and a half yet there's hardly any appeals for information. Has she been located? Is the tip line still active? I searched her name on FB and found only the post below.

"Timms was reported missing in February 2022 – a year after she was last seen in London – but police previously declined to explain the gap between her disappearance and it being reported to police, citing the ongoing probe."

Then the news gets ahold of the info in 2023.

Maybe we'll hear something further in 2024?

I also noticed that some news articles spell her name 'Deanna' but she spells it 'Deana' on her FB page and the OPP also spell it Deana. Should we change the spelling in the title of the thread?

'The Lambton County Detachment of the OPP said that in late February 2021, 34-year-old Deana Timms was picked up from a residence in the City of London and given a ride late in the evening to return to Lambton County, but she has not been seen since. Investigators now believe her disappearance is the result of foul play.

Timms is described as a white woman, 5'4" and 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Police say she has ties to London, Watford and Sarnia.'

I hope there is justice for Deana soon!
And I hope LE releases more details so that the public can contribute more tips. I'm guessing that police have their eye on a person of interest and that is why there is a dearth of info.

The timeline is certainly sad and confusing. She was last seen in February 2021, but reported missing in February of 2022. Why did it take a year to report her missing?. Then in March of 2023, someone spotted her at a house in London, Ontario, with plans to return to Sarnia shortly after. We are now in August 2024, and the worst is feared. The "known acquaintance" should be the key person of interest.
