Not sure how physically far the ravine was from her apartment?

The ravine is right to the east of the buildings on Jerome street in Lake Avenue Park.
I can walk to it from my building and I'm at Queenston and Centennial Parkway North next to the Petro Canada.
I can see the Jerome Street apartments from my balcony.

I was just looking at Google streetview of that area. The ravine passes under Lake Avenue North
towards the Jerome Crescent apartments and if her body was found there that is pretty darn close to her building.
Now I am wondering if she was walking up Lake Avenue North towards her building and RB confronted her
just before she made it home.

From this article, I'm guessing she was found on the west side of Lake Avenue North in the creek.
That is right next to the Jerome Crescent buildings. It is very overgrown with vegetation in the warmer months and
kids from the buildings would be very, very tempted to play in there....

Just noticed from the link you provided just above... although somewhere else it had been mentioned something about 7pm, her body was in fact discovered much sooner than that by the children;

Temple said the discovery occurred mid to late afternoon.

But I was just reminded about the young girl who testified to hear screaming after she'd fallen asleep. Her bedtime was 11:30. So maybe around 12. May or may not be pertinent.

That would not surprise me considering how close the Jerome Crescent apartments are to the creek.

make the 15 minute drive to Malarkey's, and we don't know if he may have stopped along the way at a store or a bank or whatever.

Banks would be closed at that time of night. There were no ATM's in those days and the drive from Dofasco to the bar would be more then 15 minutes. At least 25 minutes.
The only stores open at that time would be convenience stores and I am guessing in 1981 there were not too many of those around here.

She arrives inside her apartment, and there is CV, already in there, waiting at the door, staring her down, after wanting to surprise her. He sees her come in dishevelled like that, and puts two and two together.. he flips out, goes after her, the vase gets knocked down in the process, he completely loses it, grabs the first thing he sees, her purse, puts the straps over her head and twists. He comes up with the great idea of wanting to make it appear that she got mugged and raped on her way home from the bar, and so drives or drags her to the ravine

Out into the hall and down the elevator and through the lobby? I doubt it. There are several buildings in that area all very closely together so anyone would have seen that.

Were any of you able to figure out the exact route she'd walk especially where she'd cut through to her apt. News reports make it sound like she was found very near her apt. building.

I live in the area so I can figure her route out and I know where all the shortcuts are.

Was there also grass in the ravine, or just weeds and wildflowers?

In the summer that is a very heavily wooded area.

I've pondered the 2 person scenario before - RB and BM both attack her. Seemed weird to me RB described that the 2nd person fondled and groped her only as though he knew. And that later became an MO of BM. Maybe this was BM in training.

and if RB car pooled with EK at times, maybe he also car pooled with BM although BM was at Stelco location.
