RCMP searching for missing eldery woman
Last Sunday, the Thompson RCMP received a report of a missing woman from the northern Manitoba community. Dianne Mae Bignell, 60-years of age, was last seen in Thompson at around 8:30 a.m., on Thursday, May 17.

Bignell is described as Indigenous, five-foot-four, heavy build, tan complexion, grey shoulder length hair, brown eyes and wears glasses.

The RCMP are concerned for her well-being and are asking anyone with information to call the Thompson RCMP at 204-677-6911.

Manitoba RCMP’s Underwater Recovery Team & Thompson RCMP officers conducted a sonar search operation on the Burntwood River this weekend as part of an ongoing search for Dianne Bignell, who’s been missing since May.

Dianne Mae Bignell, 60, would do anything for her friends, and she loved doing word puzzles, making bannock and watching her soap operas. Dianne was last seen on her birthday, May 17, 2018. She was visiting with a cousin in the morning and later went to Thompson, Man., to visit with friends. Her daughter Clara Bignell said the RCMP have assured her that they are doing what they can to find her mother.
