Why target that specific area for thefts of commercial vehicles in broad daylight? Maybe, so they could go westbound before the gates go up on the WB ramp to the Gardiner Expressway just past Jameson? I think that ramp is closed after 2pm. Grasping at straws here...

With all those sparkly new buildings there has to be sophisticated CCTV. One hopes.

All of the dogs are accounted for and in good health, police said.

The van, which was last seen just after 11 a.m. parked outside a downtown condo building, was found about 4.5 kilometres away, near 200 Queen's Quay East. The pets are set to be reunited with their owners on Friday night, once police gather some statements.

The dogs appeared untroubled by their ordeal.

The people who found the dogs, in an industrial strip near Lake Ontario in the city's east end, as well as officers held onto the animals' leashes as the 16 dogs of various breeds wagged their tails.
Police cordoned off the van and also handed out kibble.

I know how dorky this is going sound but I wish they could tell us what they did. They might have thought they were on an adventure.

Thank you all of you for keeping the posts coming and a happy outcome! I am so glad I came up on this thread after all were found well. I have always loved dogs, I would have been a total nervous wreck following this one. Dogs are out friends and family, thank GOD this ended well. :loveyou:
