Dorothy Anne Spence

Classification: Endangered Missing
Vital Statistics
Dorothy was 32 years old when she vanished from Vancouver, British Columbia, on August 6th, 1995. She was homeless at the time and lead a "high-risk" lifestyle according to authorities. She was a known drug user and sex-trade worker in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. The last reported sighting of her was from a family member who saw her panhandling under a Vancouver bridge on August 17th, 1995. Vancouver police are still looking into her case.
Her sister posted a message on the police missing person’s pages. She says her sister was not they type of person to just leave and not tell anyone. She says they are still trying to figure out what happened to her and her five brothers and three other sisters “love her a great deal and miss her.” Dorothy’s sister says they shared an apartment together in Vancouver, but it was getting carried away, so she moved to Ontario. She says drugs take a total control of a person and she was lucky to move away. She wants people to know “all these girls have someone who loves them and cares for them.”
