Moo..I have been in therapy and to have someone listen and not judge you, is a relief. On the the other hand your therapist or counselor, has a few appointments that day. They will treat the next person with the same compation. People get jealous etc .
Eli seems like a very gentle caring person. I am pretty nice too but I did worry about my house being burnt down when I moved into town. Not all clients like you...moo
And from what those close to EW have said about him being gentle, empathetic, conflict‑avoidant, kind, that is exactly the kind of person who would step outside to help someone in distress who shows up randomly. Once outside, the situation may have shifted in ways he didn’t anticipate. If he stepped outside to be compassionate, did they go for a walk? Did they get into a car? And if EW thought he was helping someone calm down, he might have stepped into a car willingly.
I believe so too. The other tenants (especially basement unit that has a room below EW’s unit) may have heard considerable noise from a struggle, voices, footsteps, screams, dog barking.
That could help piece together how many people were involved.
I came up with other speculations last night I wasn't going to share, but they align with your questions.
All speculation: Those close to EW have said about him being gentle, empathetic, conflict‑avoidant, kind,
that is exactly the kind of person who would step outside to help someone in distress who shows up randomly. This theory is
Person A arrives at the wee hours of the morning Oct 19, may have texted, may have knocked on the door, and tells him they are distraught can he come outside and talk. EW thought it would just be for a few min to settle the person down. So leaves the phone and dog inside.
They either go for a walk, but it would be chilly (wasn't it 18C?) so maybe Person A has a car. "Let's talk in my car where it's private." That way neighbours wouldn't hear them talking.
Once outside, the situation may have shifted in ways he didn’t anticipate. Did they drive off?
I
n this theory, if EW thought he was helping someone calm down, he might have stepped into a car willingly. But where is he now?
Part 2 of this theory. Perhaps Person A had a one-sided fixation and EW rejected the person. Perrson A became angry...and returned later to burn his place as emotional explosion told him if I can't have you no one can.
Part 3 of the theory which is completely alternate is there was a Person B. Person A went off with EW, Person B went back to do the burn. Not necessarily a preplanned thing. I haven't really thought this through as there is NO FACTUAL EVIDENCE pointing this way.
I started off thinking destroying digital devices was a motive, but they may have just been a byproduct of the fire. LE didn't say how they were stationed to know more.
