A fatal shooting has witnesses, video, and a voice. But, six years later, it's still a cold case.

Emad Rozik was working at the carwash he owned in Scarborough, Ont., July 6, 2010, when a man walked in and began rummaging behind the counter.

Emad suspected he was being robbed and called 911, but that didn't stop the man from pulling out a gun and starting to shoot. Audio of Emad's 911 call captured the shooter's voice and surveillance cameras captured his face. When police and paramedics arrived, Emad was rushed to the hospital, but he died of a gunshot wound.

Police are again appealing for the public's help and have now released an extended video of the shooting, and for the first time, the audio of the shooter's voice. They hope that someone will recognize the shooter's voice or mannerisms.

"I want people to look at the way this man walks, the way he carries himself. He's got a swagger, almost I would say is it bowleggedness? says Det. Ogg. "The way he walks is important."

Slain car-wash owner Emad Rozik let his son leave work early - just before the hard-working businessman was gunned down, the teenager told The Sun.

"I wanted to visit my friend," Michael Rozik, 15, said Wednesday outside their Bayview-Steeles Ave. area home.
"I told my dad he could dock my pay," he said. "It was a miracle I wasn't there.
"My Dad was more like a best friend to me," said the teen.
About 30 minutes before the shooting, he was eating fries in the next-door Java cafe.
Police said a man opened fire when he was asked to leave the Midland Car Wash & Detailing Centre at 12:49 p.m. Tuesday.
Java cafe owner Heman Srikrisna said Rozik "worked 15, 16 hours a day."
An Egyptian coptic Christian priest, who was offering help and discussing funeral arrangements, said "the family are in deep mourning."
Rozik, 49, "was the most decent man you could ever meet," he said. "He was a very strong family man."

Police described the gunman, who ran off, as thin, black and 6-foot-4. He wore a black ballcap with unknown insignia, a baggy long T-shirt, baggy black denim shorts and high-top running shoes.

Police believe a motorist may hold the key to solving the shooting of Emad Rozik, a Scarborough car wash owner and married father of two.

The driver of a tan-coloured car dropped off the gunman at Indoor Auto Wash and Detailing Centre at 1566 Midland Ave. and then waited for him at about 1 p.m. July 6, 2010...

Police don’t know if the driver was an accomplice, though he or she likely does know who the suspect is.

“There are three different scenarios for that driver: had no knowledge (of the crime) whatsoever, had the knowledge and dropped him off and picked him up or didn’t have the knowledge until after the fact,” Gallant said. “I would like to see that person, if anyone, come forward and say here’s what happened that day.”
