You can schedule text messages to arrive later. I suspect she received automated text messages.
That would be easy for the service provider to confirm.

I was thinking about this today and was curious about whether the autopsy results had been released. I found this article that may have already been posted earlier

https://www.yorkregion.com/news-sto...body-of-eugene-kim-found-in-almaguin-march-1/

They don't list any cause of death.

Also, I didn't realize that the vehicle was found somewhere along Chemical Road. There is a Voyageur Quest & Outfitting on the same road. Was that the place where Eugene Kim allegedly bought the permit? I can't find any information in the media, most of them call the place 'Voyageur Outfitters'.
Also, if it is the same place, I wonder if they explored that stretch of road when they were looking for him?
I think at this point we can only speculate about what would have led up to this. The police seem satisfied to rule out foul play. I guess the family are okay with that final conclusion too.

I am picking up what you are laying down Shlock...

Judging by the posts that mark either side of the turn-in, to me it seems his car may very well have been parked in this nook --- that isn't that woody...fwiw.

ETA:

HOWEVER, looking at the "nook" from an angle there looks to be (perhaps) a trail (or another "nook"?) that goes further back into the woods....

Note the house number on the right side of the road. If it is a house, how did they not notice his car?

Maybe the number is a mile marker???

:dunno:

ETA: scratch that, looking from above it seems there is a building way back the lane with the green address number --- being in the park it could be seasonal, tho not certain of course...just thinking out loud.

ETA2: Just realizing this area - is not even in the park. :blushing:

Maybe the property is a seasonal cabin, and they don't visit it in the winter, or often.

It's just outside of the town. And like I said, plenty of vehicles would have been going back and forth after the time he disappeared. If that nook was a stopping point for folks to check out the area, the car would or should have been found easily, especially as the the fall leaves fell. But it went unnoticed for 4 or 5 months?!
