It was reported that Finnigan has a tendency to hide. Have there been rains in the last 24 hours? I hope he didn't hide in a culvert only to have something unexpected happen

I don't think so. I don't believe that Hamilton received any significant rain in the past 24 hours. It's been hot and sunny in southern Ontario. While this weather is conducive to severe thunderstorms I don't think there have been any really significant ones in the past day or two.

I'm still wondering about the fact that Hamilton LE changed their stance from "looking for a missing child" all yesterday afternoon, evening and this morning. and then this afternoon they expressed concern that there was an abduction. Did they find something? What caused this change of stance. What prompted them to issue an Amber Alert. It had to be something.

I find it very odd if his body was found so near the road (which is the way the photos make it seem.)

When I click that link above, I am not seeing any new statements from the police. I wonder what all the press release said exactly.

Was there an abduction? Did he wander off? So many unanswered questions at this point.

The other news reporter in that earlier video said they were focusing on an area between houses. I wonder if a person, after seeing the Amber Alert, wandered their yard and found him or something.

Sounds like the elements couldn't have been the reason for death, correct? Unless there is a body of water he could have drowned in or something.

Hamilton police announced Sunday at 6:15 that missing Finnigan Danne was found dead.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene Sunday.

Detective Paul Hamilton said a statement is coming. No further information is expected until a post mortem is complete.

Poor soul, my heart goes out to his Mom, family and the whole community.
It must be very difficult for all the emergency personnel too.
Sad and difficult day for many.

NIck Dixon/CTV news live report on CP24: (sorry, no link) police forensics on scene close to the family home. Two forensic vans & a white tarp at the end of a culvert. Hamilton police will not be commenting until tomorrow, when they expect the preliminary post-mortem to be completed.
