The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance locating a missing person.

Fran, 19, was last seen on Saturday, August 9, 2025, in the Dundas Street West and Annette Street area. Fran is known to frequent the Yonge Street and Charles Street East area.

Fran is described as 5'4", with a slim build, long straight dark hair, and brown eyes. Fran was last seen wearing a black jacket, black sports bra, grey sweatpants, purple Crocs, was carrying a beige bag with a bear on it and may be wearing dark-framed glasses. Fran also goes by the names "Becky" and "Christine".

Yonge and Charles is on the border of the Gay Village in Toronto.

Does she have friends there? Works in the area? Three different names is interesting. Does she work? Is she transient by any chance?

The place she was seen last is the “Junction” I believe. Some nice parts but also some rough spots.

There is a cash store on the corner. I'd like to just know someone checked the cameras and didn't find anything nefarious.

There is also a bus stop nearby. Good chance that's where she was seen, IMO.

Not sure what to think about the freight rail nearby.

Looks like Fran previously went missing in July from the Yonge/Charles St. area.

I'm not sure, and it makes no difference, except for, is this a female or male? Being part of the gay village scene could direct the investigation. The village also has a AID's outreach centre Outreachthat provides all sorts of information and assistance which might assist LE. Being proactive may have lessened the damage by Bruce McArthur. Putting the word onto the street would definitely help.
Of course if Fran is not part of the gay scene, what is in that area that might have attracted her. Restaurants for sure, a couple of hotels, shopping, condos? Does she have mental health issues? I wonder who is reporting her missing? Parents?
Maybe she's just a 19 yr old living the best life? Or maybe living a lifestyle parents don't approve of?
I think she's too old to be a serial runaway???
