That is the first thing that has made me laff in several weeks, I may have peed, just a little! I don't believe the posts have been disrespectful just important to be cognizant of the possibility that Scott's family may read this stuff without joining the group.

Can you (if it's possible) give us insight into the how the 7th was determined the night he disappeared? From other posts, I've gotten the impression that the fob was used just for common areas and to get into the building, but not for access to his room nor for leaving the building. If an actual key was used to return to his apartment, it appears that there wouldn't be electronic tracking for that. Is there something that indicates he wasn't in the apartment after the 7th? Other than that the fob had last been used on the 7th? Are the elevators available only through fob access? Are the stairwells limited by fob access? Or, could he have returned to his apartment on the 7th, and disappeared a day (or more) later? Thanks for any insights!

I have been asking this same question. The fob would record him entering but not exiting the building fob is not used for elevator or access to stairs as far as I know...common room, laundry room and entrance, I believe are the areas where the fob would be required. Making the leap first that Scott used the fob on the common room himself and then left the building has not been substantiated by security footage as it was apparently deleted after 2 weeks so there is no information that I am aware of that proves when or if he left the building that night. He certainly could have left another time without the fob recording it but the lack of bank activity is how the 7th has been arrived at.

Scott doesn't generally use cash.....debit is much more convenient. As for the other details you refer to, I'm not privy to that information. The lack of activity after the one transaction that has been discussed at Shoppers Drug Mart where he is seen on camera. All is quiet after that and I expect the date of disappearance is based on that information.

They had done so at the beginning and I understood they would return again but I dont know if they ever did the second time. I still dont see any proof that he left the building that nite...so Im as puzzled as anyone else. He is a very distinctive looking guy and this was a very particular night weather wise....the story has been getting a lot of visibilty and we have reached out significantly in the community....nobody seeing him going outside, nobody seeing him outside and his bag being in the apartment just makes no sense to me...the building has a kind of lounging area in the front by king st...it has several couches and places to sit.....the power goes out at 9 30 ostensibly for 19 hrs...does everyone stay in their apartments for 19 hrs? Im told folks will socialize there as well as the common room where the piano is...wouldnt someone in the building potentially be down there at 11 55 pm....if I had hair I would be pulling it out about now...

He IS very distinctive looking and I'd think quite a number of people who live and work in shops in his neighborhood would know him or at least recognize him as a local.

The only thing I can come up with right now is that, knowing about the extreme weather, he decided on a whim to check the outdoor conditions himself- out of curiosity perhaps, boredom, he felt he needed to get in some more walking as it was his routine, and it wasn't cold outdoors. He may have been in great physical shape, but there certainly could have been a chance that a sudden medical emergency occurred, as it can with most of us. If that had happened, would it have been more likely he could have fallen into the water? Was it super windy and raining torrentially @ midnight, or was the brunt of the storm over, if anyone knows?

IIRC, Scott's lights were on when the police first entered the apartment. MOW wasn't able to deliver his meals but I'm not sure if they attempted to deliver the following day (on the 8th).

That's an interesting point. The vast majority of people turn their lights off when leaving their apartment. However, perhaps because of the storm they were already off? If not, and they were still on...it does beg additional focus on the point Terry keeps making; we can't account for Scott leaving the residence.

temp did drop in the evening and after storm presumably and I can understand leaving the apartment but out into torrential rain and winds? So much of what was happening weatherwise was regional.....different parts of the city were affected completely differently....

Jody, the meals on wheels stuff is pretty sketchy as you know.....of course I am as perplexed as anyone that nobody did any kind of followup in the building after such a dramatic weather occurrence.....there are Toronto City housing people in an office onsite a super and several maintenance workers besides all the tenants....nobody has power for 19 hrs after torrential downpour and flash flooding.....tenants are congregating in the lobby to find out when the power is coming back on and what's happening all day on Aug 8 th the tenants are comprised of seniors, consumer survivors with special needs etc...wouldn't it make sense to check that everyone is safe?

Respectfully snipped for focus. You are raising such an important point. I have observed the news where situation after situation seniors or other vulnerable citizens are left to fend for themselves in a disaster situation. Fortunately, most of the time, rescuers eventually show up to help, but shouldn't city disaster planners have these known facilities where vulnerable citizens live first on the rescue list? Perhaps Scott's disappearance can be a catalyst for positive change.

When you state MOW wasn't able to deliver his meals, what date does this refer to? The 7th? Has this information been released? This helps with timeline (for us). I am confident the police already has this information.

I don't know the dates. I don't think the info has been made public.
As Terry stated above, the MOW stuff is kinda sketchy.
MOW, allegedly, did make a call about Scott not receiving his meals but the recipient of the call never received the call.

This article may have been posted earlier; if so, my apologies. The flash flooding that occurred on Aug 7 was much more intense than I had realized. And, it appears there was a bit of chaos that evening as well.

This is really a great forum because we have moderators who expect contributors to follow terms of service. Everything posted as fact has to be backed up by a main stream media link, or we state that it's our own personal speculation or opinion. If you choose to be verified, you don't have to do that. We are grateful you are here Terry, and we will continue to do everything we can to research and help.

Some pretty incredible contributions have been made by folks on these threads, that have resulted, or contributed, to the resolution of many cases. We have a member who is a forensic artist who brings to life unidentified/deceased persons, and is nothing short of a magician. My skill is aerial mapping and data analysis; predicting where someone will be found based on what facts we know. Others are phenomenal at researching criminal records, assessing environmental factors, search and rescue, law, law enforcement, medical, and the list goes on and on. We have quite a fascinating group of people on this site. We will continue to offer up as many reasonable suggestions as we can with regards to Terry, and you will find we are dedicated and persistent.

Speaking of which, I'm glad you are working with your/Terry's friends to court the media and continue to keep his story out there. How about accompanying that with a "free concert in the park" to further raise awareness? Appoint someone who is a good organizer, enlist musicians, get a city permit to hold an event in the park, get the media involved, have local restaurants set up booths and sell food and beverage, etc. Most important, hand out flyers and post them everywhere. This will be great media exposure, and in between sets you can talk about Scott. I have a few other tricks up my sleeve related to this, but I thought I'd throw this out there for you to think about....
