I wasnt aware of the msm component, my apologies, if any of my posts need to be removed please let me know....I dont expect to be on here after Scott's case is resolved but I would like to respect your rules.
Terry, just put 'imo' at the end of your posts - that way, you shouldn't need to link to MSM or need verifying.

To others, I will vouch for Terry. Please don't add stress by requesting he become verified. TIA.

I will also vouch for Terry. This is not only a group of friends looking for a dear, missing man but it's also a police investigation. The police keep their cards close to their vests and the only MSM reports have been linked by Jasper to this thread and are about Scott Cushnie as a missing person.

We have little to go on but won't stop searching til we find Scott.

"The Hamilton Musicians Guild is also assisting with pension issues for the longtime A.F.M. member, who has been living in TO.

Says friend Terry Murphy, “He is relocating from Toronto to be here in Hamilton because it’s in his best interests personally and professionally….He still loves to play and he hasn’t lost a step at 75. Besides raising a few bucks to help with his moving and transitional expenses we are welcoming him to Hamilton….welcoming him home. The folks that I’ve enlisted for the event are all his old friends….many of them have known prof for 40 years or longer.”

So I'm confused. Did Scott live in Hamilton for awhile and then move back to Toronto? I think thats about 1.5hrs drive.

Question for those of you who are FOT (friends of Terry).
What is your best theory ATM, and why?
You know mine, (river) : (

But I am intrigued by Terry's statement that there is no specific account of Scott leaving the residential apartments the evening in question. I can't shake that. It's important.

Knowing the subject as you do, what is your best theory please.

My apologies for raising this. I've been confused by what is public knowledge, what is knowledge known by friends, and what is speculation. If possible, I'd go back and have not posted about VI status. Please, please keep posting and sharing theories, ideas, and concerns.

Yes, the info the friends are posting is extremely valuable and is quickly helping narrow down possibilities.

Scott’s habits are unique and apparently quite predictable...even the unpredictability is predictable, if that makes sense.

I keep coming back to the huge storm on the night Scott disappeared. Based on the data I have to analyze, the storm appears to be the only unique variable that day.

I have to keep pointing to that as the suspected catalyst for his missing status.

Scott and I met in the early 90's we were neighbours on Palmerston Ave at College St in Toronto.....He lived in a basement apt that didn't age well and was difficult for him to get around in but as a stubborn fella set in his ways, he couldn't leave even when better options became available, Eventually, I moved out to Hamilton in about 2002 and bought a place and after much persuading I got him to come out to Hamilton with me....He liked it out there but most of his friends were still in Toronto so when I sold my place to move even further away from Toronto it coincided with an apartment becoming open in the building he is in now. The Pan Am Games had ended and these places had been used for the athletes that were in town for competition. Scott's time in Hamilton was brief but he did jam with the mayor and lots of the locals, some of whom dated back to his early years of playing in the late 50's and early 60's...it was great having him around even if I lost in cribbage regularly!! The transition step in Hamilton was needed for him to get out of basement and into way better place. I hope that clears some of this up...

So I'm confused. Did Scott live in Hamilton for awhile and then move back to Toronto? I think thats about 1.5hrs drive.

Pretty sure we are going out again on Sunday morning to do another search....pm me for details...I will try not to add to the confusion on here. For the most part I have tried to keep all the information I've discussed to be public knowledge and not mention anything about investigation that is not supposed to be released... We don't know much so there hasn't been much to tell....the day his bank activity stopped, the last verifiable sighting at Shoppers Drug Mart and the weather, the fob data....all this stuff was in the original news article...

anything related to the storm is ominous at best and while I have been trying to keep looking elsewhere, I am preparing myself for that possibility. It's making it harder to write.....I'm just frozen.....I want to keep looking, keep digging but I don't have anywhere left to look. Yesterday, I posted an apology letter on Scott's fb page. I hadn't seen him since he moved back to Toronto. I regret this now, of course but it was very rare that I would venture far from where I live....now I've done the 6 hr commute a few times and I know more about every street and business within 3 miles of his apartment.....and I've seen more footage of that storm than anyone would ever want to watch...it's not like Hurricane Florence or Maria....its just a storm.....nobody should die from that....I need some rest. Thank You all for showing such compassion and concern. It does help.

Terry, I understand the feelings you are experiencing. We always have the "what if's". It's really hard. I really do understand all too well. The best antidote is exactly what you are doing - helping. I can't bring back people I dearly love that have departed, but I honor them by helping others in whatever little ways I can, if only by praying.

Now as far as Scott's disappearance, if you feel you've gone as far as you can and it appears things are stalling out, you might consider seeing if you can get a private investigator to take this case on pro bono in exchange for some free publicity. I hate to distill it down to that, but hey, you have to do what works. I would ask one of the local pubs to hold a benefit to raise some token funds to get things moving with the P.I. and get media there to give some exposure. I think this will keep you busy and productive on this matter. I'd be willing to bet there are alot of locals who would come and lend support. Worth a try?

Terry, it seems to me you have a heart of gold and I'm absolutely certain Scott has known that. I think each and every one of us has and will have at least a few regrets in our lifetime, but we can't ever know what's in the future, either. I hope you get some good rest before the next search, and I'll be praying for Scott, you and his family and friends.

I wonder if anyone working at the residences where Scott lives has a criminal background?

Bump for Scott, and anxiously awaiting any news if more searches have taken place.
