Circumstances of Disappearance

Gerald Bouchard was last seen on the morning of June 4, 1998, in the Town of Moosonee, Ontario.
Moosonee is a remote Northern Ontario community situated on the coast of James Bay. There are no roads to Moosonee and access is by rail or aircraft.
It is believed that Bouchard may have left Moosonee by jumping on a rail boxcar.

Please Note: Gerald is listed in Aboriginal Alert historical cases, without much information. They do sometimes host MP that are non-Indigenous. One external link is this Gerald's NCMPUR entry, and the other seems to be (from what I can tell) an unrelated press release from the Peterborough Police about the identification of human remains found before this Gerald ever went missing. I have not been able to find out whether Gerald Joseph Bouchard is Indigenous or not. Just an FYI.

Another Note: There are people on Facebook with the same last name claiming to be family members who believe that Gerald was murdered, and one of them does mention the first name of a person they suspect to be involved. I have not come across any official LE sources that mention anything about foul play, or any details not listed above in regards to the circumstances of his disappearance.
