I never heard this one. I was 25. In high school a boat went down, someone's father died. I don't know the family, but I remember it. That was a White Head family I think. I'm not sure if all his crew were found. I wonder if the boot made the bones come ashore. When it's a seal, there's always flesh.

I see another White Head ship went down the same year the bones were found, 2010. The Cossaboom family boat. They were potentially scallop dragging near NS. My high school mention would be a few years earlier. I'm pretty sure I wasn't in high school at 25, but ya never know.

If the bones were from the Cossaboom boat would they have sunk much closer to home? There are two other islands between white head and Grand Manan. Cheneys and Ross Island. There are pitfalls North, like Great Duck and long Island. Could anything travel from NS?

I wonder what I could learn from the RCMP? Maybe thee two ship wrecks in that 2005-2010 span can be cleared up.
