Police say their investigation has determined the death of a 19-year-old Walmart employee found dead inside a Halifax store last month was not suspicious, and there is “no evidence of foul play.”

In a Monday update, Halifax Regional Police said investigators had met with the family to share the findings, and that the family has asked for privacy.

Very sad. It sounds like it might have been intentional. The store is still closed but they are working on a reopening & the oven has been removed.

I dont think they said she did it to herself. I think theyve just said that foul play wasn't involved. They've given zero explanation on what they think happened

If it was a gas oven, and if self harm was the goal I could see it being an accident that the oven somehow started or she’d collapsed and someone else started it not knowing she was in there?

I haven't seen anything in the news about any details of her death, besides the fact that LE doesnt think theres foul play involved

It could be. Even young people can die suddenly. I think accident or self-harm are the other options.

A few workers have said commercial bakery ovens are often cleaned when warmed up.

According to this article they are waiting for the ME Report & release of her remains before having her funeral. They didn’t have it at the time the article was written.
