''Isaiah Leopold Roach, the 16-year-old victim of a homicide whose body was found in a farmer’s field in St-Zotique last week, was from the West Island and loved playing football in Dollard-des-Ormeaux.
Isaiah was at a campus in Prévost, 55 kilometres north of Montreal, that is part of Batshaw’s youth and family centres when he disappeared in March. On March 29, the Sûreté du Québec reported him as missing and said he was last seen at the Côte-Vertu métro station before noon on March 26.''
According to Le Journal de Montréal, a surveillance camera recorded a sport utility vehicle driving onto the farmer’s field and driving away quickly the night before Isaiah’s body was found. The owner of the land reported the body the next afternoon after a passerby made the sad discovery.
On Tuesday, an SQ spokesperson said no arrests had been made in the investigation.
“It was completely unnecessary and we’re all saddened by the news,” said Chris Carvalho, vice-president of North Shore Football, the West Island association Isaiah played with for several years. “When you see a kid who is innocent and at a point where he is still a kid, and then he’s involved in these circumstances, it shakes you.”

"You could see a lot of pain in his eyes and a lot of uncertainty. The foster system is not easy, right?"
