Circumstances of Disappearance:
Olynyk was last seen in Winnipeg on March 27, 1998. She had left the psychiatric ward of the St. Boniface Hospital on 409 Tache Avenue and was seen walking near the Red River. It is believed that she fell through a pressure crack in the ice and drowned. She has never been seen again and her body was never recovered.
