His last known contact was on December 26th with the Main Street Project, a charitable organization that provides assistance for those in need. He had informed the staff that he was heading back up North and has never been seen or heard from again.
On January 19, 1996, Redhead's father reported to officials that his son had not been heard from since December 21, 1995. Foul play is suspected in his case and his whereabouts remain unknown.
