Circumstances of Disappearance:
Zdarski disappeared while on a fishing trip near Waterhen, Manitoba in June 1997. He and two companions had traveled from Dauphin, Manitoba to a cabin near Waterhen Lake at Baker's Point. Zdarski was last seen leaving the cabin on the evening of June 16 and never returned. The two companions looked for him on their return trip to Dauphin but were unable to locate him.
A man matching Zdarski's description was seen walking on the road at 7:30 am the following morning, but no further sightings have been reported. Zdarski did not bring his wallet, money, or any identification to the cabin and had no means of transportation at the time of his disappearance. Despite extensive searches by land, air, and water, Zdarski was never located. His whereabouts remain unknown.
