On May 14, 2008, Carlson was working on a farm in the Watrous area. He spoke with several people that day and was scheduled to work on another area farm the next day.

That evening, he went to Watrous and was seen in the local video store between 7 and 8 p.m. That is the last confirmed sighting of Carlson, according to RCMP. Five days later, Carlson’s truck was found in a field near Allen, Sask...

RCMP searched his home and found evidence that he had been murdered.

RCMP have announced a murder charge in the death of James Carlson, who went missing in 2008 and has never been found.

Taylor Wolff, a 31-year-old man from Saskatoon is accused of second-degree murder. Wolff was arrested in Moose Jaw on Friday, RCMP said. He's set to appear in Provincial Court in Saskatoon June 20.

"I would say that while the charges have been laid, the investigation is ongoing," RCMP Insp. Karen Munro said Friday. "Investigators do believe that there are other individuals involved that may have assisted Taylor Wolff and so we encourage anyone with any information to contact the police or crimestoppers."
