Holy moley, I thought there was a mistake on twitter. Crazy. Was he on the bridge when he tried to hit the officers? Why jump in the river? His buddy ran into the woods it seems.

Here's hoping the passenger is the second suspect. If they don't have his name but fits the description, I guess a good interrogation could reveal the truth. MOO.

The Ottawa police major crimes unit said it started investigating the case overnight. Police also said they apprehended the passenger of the vehicle that struck the officers.

London police are looking for a second suspect in Cook's death. He is described as a black male with very short hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket or shirt and a fitted cap.

Matou whose twitter are you following?

From what it sounds like, two LE officers tried to pull him over and that is when he decided to hit them. They have arrested the passenger. Hope he's his partner in crime, the second suspect in Jeremy's murder. MOO.

rbbm.
"Police said the suspect tried to run over two on-duty bicycle officers in downtown Ottawa at King Edward Ave. and Rideau St. around 4 p.m. Wednesday, leaving one officer with minor injuries.

They said they gave chase in a squad car and ended up on Wiggins Private near the Rideau River, where they said two suspects jumped out and officers arrested one, but lost the other.

Several hours later police said they were called to the river’s edge at Range Rd. and Mann Ave., where reports said a man was trying to swim across the river."

Just heard on CP24 the suspect who was apprehended is not connected to Jeremy's murder. He was questioned and released.

While reports cannot confirm it was MSS who likely drowned in the Rideau River in Ottawa, being as LE apprehended the passenger and had him in custody, perhaps he offered up MSS's name to authorities and this is what makes them confident it was MSS. MOO.

"The suspect’s worried father, Sultan Sultan, told The London Free Press he was appealing to God to keep his son alive and to his son to turn himself in.

“Please, Muhab, if you read this, listen to me. I love you and I will always love you forever (whether) you did this or not. I will get you the best lawyer in the land and we will walk hand in hand into the police station,” the father said.

Sultan was worried that his son had indeed drowned and stands by his innocence, saying Muhab is not a murderer and twould never do such a thing. The father also apologized to Cook’s family."

Hmm the best lawyer eh? If MSS is not guilty, why was he running from LE and why was he trying to run LE over with his car? SS doesn't believe a his son is a murderer. Does he believe his son has a past criminal record involving guns and drugs and causing a disturbance? MOO.

What a dramatic turn of events in Ottawa! :ohwow:

I hope they determine it is the suspect in this case and resolve it quickly for Jeremy's family's sake.

Would be helpful to know if MSS was the trigger man in Jeremy's case. LE have not released these details yet.

Who was driving the Mazda that night
Who was the shooter, driver or passenger
Who the Mazda belonged to
Names of the two other suspects

Plus a million more details... :(

Apparently MSS was driving his car in the Ottawa incident. Did he own more than one car? Was it his partner in crime who owned the Madza they crashed in London, a borrowed car from a friend or family member, a rental? LE said it wasn't a stolen car.

Ottawa police said the same man allegedly struck two bike-riding police officers with his car on Wednesday afternoon in Ottawa's Lowertown neighbourhood.

Hi Snoopster! :seeya:

His body will surface sooner or later. Sooner would be better to be certain it's MSS and to offer some relief to JC's family. A body can be in water an awfully long time and forensics will still be able to retrieve DNA and fingers for prints...as long as the fingers are still intact. Those finger prints will match his fingerprints already on file from his charges in 2011. Plus they will match to fingerprints found in the car abandoned in Ottawa, the Mazda in London, JC's cell phone, all which will has the accused fingerprints and DNA.

It's just a matter of time before LE capture the other two suspects. They will follow the trails and hunt them down just as they did in MSS's case.
MOO.

I hope that the passenger did the right thing too and offered up identity of the driver.

If she doesn't know what is going on, maybe she shouldn't assume her brother is innocent and not a murderer. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure many a family members of murderers have been found to be in disbelief and shock when finding out their own family member could do something so evil. She is entitled to her feelings.

Karma or Allah?

JMHO.

“We are hurt for the young boy who lost his life, we are hurt because we don’t know what’s going on,” she wrote. “We are all praying for the answers and at the end of the day justice will be served here but the last judgment will come from Allah himself.”

Sounds like daddy got sonny boy the best lawyer in the land on those charges. Charges were dropped...which means MSS was NOT found innocent or not guilty of the charges. The fact that he never said a word to LE about who really did crimes, IMO says he himself did the crimes, he was involved and belonging to a gang, you don't rat on your bros. It is my speculation he has some gang affiliation. His brother's FB seems to indicate that type of lifestyle IMO. His brother also has a criminal background. MOO.

Sultan said he hadn’t learned anything from Ottawa police beyond what had been reported in the news.

His son might never turn himself in to police on his own, because he spent more than a year in jail in London on two sets of charges — one for weapons and trafficking offences, and one for sexual assault — that were later dropped, Sultan said in a series of short phone interviews from Calgary.

“He lost this time of his life for nothing.”

All the time he was in jail in 2011 and 2012, he never said a word to police about who really did the crimes, the father said.

Sultan Sultan emigrated to Canada from Sudan in 1991 and with his wife raised two sons and a daughter in London, where they were well known in the Sudanese community.

I don't get it...SS's son is accused of murder, he has past criminal records, two days ago he tried to kill two officers with his car by running them over, and SS has the balls to defend MSS? SMH. :notgood: IMHO.

Sultan was worried that his son had indeed drowned and stands by his innocence, saying Muhab is not a murderer and would never do such a thing.
