He did claim to be the one to find her missing wallet on the Alberta Police Report FB page which IMO identified him. In the meantime his initials are AP. His first name is French for Anthony and his last name is like Perrier.. change the first "er" to "oi".
You mean Antoine Poirier?

He identified himself publicly. Privacy is out the window.

Did he not say he found the ID and turned it over to LE? If so LE would of done a report at that time which would of included name ,date of birth, address, etc

It depends how he turned it over. If he just gave it to a patrol car passing by, would they have stopped and taken information? If this happened a month before her disappearance, then who would've suspected anything?

We are unsure of when the ID was found. Sounds like he dropped it off at a station to be given back to the owner.

Maybe he had no fixed address or changed his number. Or CPS did not take down his information correctly if at all. Or maybe he never returned it to the police but to Jessica.

Though finding her ID a month prior sounds odd to me as to why it would be relevant.

He said back to police.

I think so too but Mods may see it differently. Now that a CPS officer asked him to call police I think we are good to go and this is no longer considered rumour.

Well, if they didn't have his name before, they sure have it now, along with his FB address, and his IP address !

Her mother said they wanted to talk to him about an incident that happened a month before her disappearance.

If she was robbed by someone, or they broke into her place, they may be hoping he saw who dropped the ID. The possibilities are endless.

Not necessarily IP. Facebook would have that and may not hand that over without a subpoena or warrant.

It's true, she also paused a lot during that statement like she had to be super careful how she worded it. Either way it seems like the case is moving forward at this point which is good.

Yes, interesting to think about the 'month ago incident' thing.. was that a ruse? Or did he turn it in in good faith a month ago, but then stalked her after that? Man, he seems awfully angry, and bringing his stuff into the public rather than just making the dang call like he should be?

And this is where I worry about broadcasting this person as wanted for an unrelated matter that he is not considered a suspect. What if she was robbed and those that robbed her are also involved in her disappearance and this AP person saw who that was and now he has been identified thru his photograph first and now his name? What if he is truly an honest kid who returned a wallett and now is freaking out because his privacy was violated and now possibly his safety. He must know more because surely CPS would not put an innocent bystander at risk.

Yes true, but we can hope. Also, wasn't there something within the last couple of months where FB refused to give some kind of info over to Canadian authorities, stating some crazy thing like they didn't have to since we're in a different country?

Not necessarily IP. Facebook would have that and may not hand that over without a subpoena or warrant.

Yes there is always more to it then we are told. Him freaking out isn't helping his case he could have just called and said ummmm your looking for me? And it would have been dealt with in a minute.

Well... he put his name, story, picture, friends, posts, and history out there for all to see... it's not really a demonstration of concern for his own privacy or personal safety.

Had he discreetly phoned CPS, no one would know who he is. He outed himself.

CPS now say they private messaged him.
