I have always suspected that the perpetrator was someone that we were not aware of. The new "coincidence" in finding the body of a friend leads to me to wonder about this person. He knew where he would be paving so possibly moved her out if guilt for the family.

Or he is friends with someone who was involved and they conveniently moved the body to where he would be working. I find it really disturbing that the person who found her would be the one who killed her.

And looking back, there has been a link to TR from the very beginning. A comment on the initial CPS post tells her ex KCR to speak with TR.

Does anyone know of any other similar cases where the killer is the one to find the victim ? I am sure they are out there, I just cannot think of any names. It would be good to have something to compare this too.

The Michael White case jumps to mind immediately. In Edmonton. Though it is somewhat different as he was a suspect and was prodded by police to help "find" the body of his missing pregnant wife.

Also, did not Svekla "stumble" upon a body he was suspected of either murdering or being involved with?

I recall Svelka's family member finding the hockey bag a little heavy in his truck which led to a call to the police. Not sure about him leading to another body or they just connected it because she had been missing from the same area he lived in.

The Edmonton Sun reported that Svekla claimed to have discovered the dead body of prostitute Rachel Quinney in June of 2004.

Not sure about how paving crews work and the precise circumstances of the body being found, but wouldn't there be some sort of survey of the road done prior to the whole paving crew reaching her? Or was he working ahead of the crew and found her on his own? Would they even bother surveying rural roads?

Not sure about the survey work. The crew would however know what stretch of highway they would be working on each day.

If they are just chip or crack sealing, or even paving then no, they don't often survey. They do however usually have a sign guy who places signs the day or a couple days in advance. He could have been part of that crew. The 660news article claims they spotted something and "got down" to take a closer look. He could have been on one of the machines. Or perhaps he personally didn't find the body, but was with the crew that did. I tend to agree with newstalk that the body was probably moved so it could be discovered.

I believe that is right news.talk and I will look online and see if I can find anything about surveying rural roads.

Surveying is often done when there will be some type of construction work, or machinery work. For basic chipsealing, crack sealing or paving a survey is not done.

I think it depends on what they are doing, like just resurfacing what is already there I wouldn't think that they would need a survey, but if they are putting down pavement where it has never been before, paving a gravel road, then they probably do need survey make sure where pipes and wires are. They could have just been out fixing potholes.

I to wonder how many perpetrators infiltrate themselves into investigations,

Perpetrators are often found to have inserted themselves into the investigation. LE always look closely at the people that are 'helpful' and this certainly qualifies.

I notice TR made no comments that suggests he recognized her. Perhaps he did not want to be seen as a suspect for the very fact that he knew her. As I said, I don't believe in coincidences. Not in homicide cases.

If I knew someone who was missing then found a body that would be my first thought. If I saw blonde hair or a black studded jacket I would freak. I certainly wouldn't post nonchalantly about finding a body on FB.

She was also found with most of her clothing missing. Either sexual assault or an attempt to destroy evidence.

Where was the mention of the clothes missing?

Last week a poster commented on the FB group page the time he last spoke to Jess on the day of her disappearance. His employer is a contracting company listed in Airdrie where they also run a horse business. Just another coincidence. The company is small, I imagine the equipment is stored at the residence.

What is the significance of JW? Interesting twist.

JW is the one who told Jessica's ex KCR to speak with TR way back when the initial missing post was made on the CPS Facebook site. Others have said he was quite vocal at the beginning.
