I still haven't heard one word from the reporters I have emailed. Is there a gag order on this case or something? Geesh.

See, that's a problem. So, he was one of the last people around when she disappeared, she had a restraining order against him b/c he appears to have abused her before, he and his family bad mouth her to the press and are pretty keen on making people believe she ran away, he has no alibi... And now refuses the LDT...

It doesn't take Matlock to think something's up here.

Some other good bits from the FB update:

- The Friday they last saw Jodi, she was in a good mood, and they do not believe she has run away.

- The family is asking anyone who has yet to speak to the RCMP about what they might have seen around Bowen Island that week to come forward, no matter how insignificant what they know might seem.

- Confirms that the ex is still reported to be the last person to have seen her that night.

- Seems the authours of this page have started to come away from the family's earlier statements about not suspecting the ex.

I would have thought a four month retrospective might have been in order for the local/provincial papers out there... Jeeze, even a blurb and a picture would be useful at this point.

What is the deal with this story?

According to news reports they think Jodi never left the island? The ex-bf had a 'no contact' restraining order, was in attendance at the same house party the night Jodi was last seen and now refuses to take a polygraph? Hate to assume things, but the bf seems like he's one erratic drive in a white Bronco away from being fingered as the guilty party in the court of public opinion. Just my thoughts this morning...

So no news updates? Is there is a Jodi homepage set up by family besides facebook?

It is true the ex had assaulted her, and she did have a RO against him, yet they were both at the party that night through mutual friends. I am not 100% sure on his age, but he is 19, IIRC. The family reports that the ex was the last person who saw Jodi that night, but I don't know to what extent he has talked to LE. The family also notes he has refused to take a polygraph, FWTIW.

While the media has talked of a conspiracy of silence, I believe one of the police statements says this has not been the case, and they have been able to get statements from most of the people who saw Jodi that night, but are still interested in hearing from anyone who has not yet spoken with them.
