Langley RCMP - Missing man from Willoughby

RCMP in Langley, British Columbia are seeking the assistance of the public to locate Joel Reed Goddard. Joel was last seen at his residence in the Willoughby area of Langley on November 10, 2020. Joel is 6 feet tall and weighs 172 pounds. He has blonde hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a long sleeved white T-shirt and grey sweatpants. His wife has indicated that he went for a drive in his black GMC Terrain and never returned.

RCMP are asking anyone with information to call 604-532-3200 and quote file number 2020-39094.

Joel Reed Goddard, 32, was last seen at his home in Willoughby, according to Langley RCMP.

Police believe he is driving a black GMC Terrain, but say he has not been seen in more than a week and his family is very concerned for his well-being.

VANCOUVER -- The last time Suzie Goddard saw her husband Joel was when she was at home with him and their one month old son. That was 11 days ago.

“We hadn’t gone out much, you know, with the new born,” she told CTV News.

But on Nov. 10 Joel went for a drive in the family's black GMC SUV, and never came home. The family has not heard from him since.

“He had left his phone at home,” said Gloria Goddard, Joel’s mom.

“It was in the couch so I don’t even think he was aware he didn’t have his phone with him.”

Was this quote from the mother or Suzie? Because that would suggest he did this more often.

I notice they don't want to say where he said he was going? Rooting for him to be somewhere safe getting some rest.

Yeah lots of info, lots of feet on the ground!

He apparently takes a lot of walks and drives so no red flag there as it’s normal for him, but wonder why he needs to clear his mind so much?

His poor gorgeous wife is working her tail off to get him back, that’s all she wants for Christmas and is beside herself.

can men experience a type of postpartum depression? Or sort of an existential crisis with everything going on?

So worried for this man! I hope he’s taking a breather and that he didn’t end his life or end up in a body of water

This news articles states he's trained as a Welder Fabricator but has recently not been working.

Langley RCMP said it discovered his ATM card had been used to make a withdrawal at the Abbotsford Airport on Wednesday.

Officers attended and found him safe inside his vehicle in the airport’s parking lot.
