I was coming to see if this was posted here. I wonder how well they've searched around there, behind buildings and in ditches etc? It's always hard to get much information in Canada I find, this is more than we usually see. It's a bit of a strange area: a bowling alley, restaurants, grocery and liquor stores, a couple ice arenas, then some offices and industrial supply stores. I wouldn't quite call it an industrial area. It's also a fairly main road that runs through all of these places up to a newer subdivision. So in some ways it's busy, but there would be a lot of places that no one would be after 9pm.

And since people usually ask, there is a small lake very close by as well.

Does he have a bloody nose in the liquor store photo or is that just shadows/etc?

Zooming in on a saved photo, there appears to be shadowing around the chin, and nostril. If it is blood, it appears to have just started. Of course, he could have wiped off anything along the upper lip. I believe this to be shadow :)

Thanks for all the info. It appears that he is walking in one of the isolated areas. I see no one else around. No traffic or any activity. Wonder if this was the way to his home. Or, if not, where he would be headed.

That's a good question. I can't think of what is behind there. I just checked a map, and it looks like there is a path behind those buildings. One direction goes towards a busier street and movie theatre, mall, walmart, the other direction goes to a very quiet/dark side street with houses but that people will drive fairly fast along/use as a cut through. I'll see if I can attach a link to a map. I think he was right by the Cloverdale Paints, if you look at the reserved parking spots I think that's what it says as well as the vans parked in the lot.

Seems to be a lot of missing person cases in Canada.

I see you found this case @Trudie BC again, as well. Let's see how much more info is provided to the public in this case. Hope they find this guy, but he's already missing almost 1 week.

Yeah, a week. In the US, we always hear the importance of the “First 48”.

So many things we don't know:

Have they done a ground search?
Where might he have been heading? Did he live nearby? Would he be walking home?
Do they believe he was intoxicated? Upset? Depressed?
Who had he been bowling with?

I never know whether unanswered questions (in Canada) mean the police know everything they need to know, or that they don't know and aren't doing anything about it.

After following the Ben Tyner case (the little there is to follow) it really seems Ca LE have a unique way of handling cases. In the US, publicity is huge. RCMP seem to control the media, which might be a good thing in some cases but not good in all.

Especially if they want the public's help. Some info would be helpful to be helpful, if you know what I mean. I tend to think they don't have what they need, else they wouldn't be asking the questions and posting the photos. Preserving details for potential crime investigation is always the reason here in the US, yet to me it's more important to find the person. JMO

Statistically as far as missing young men and drinking, he is most likely in the lake near by. It should be dragged.

Please prove me wrong Joshua. : (

Amateur opinion and speculation

It does always seem to go that way, does it not. Since this is BC, though, wonder if lake is still frozen.

Langford is on Vancouver Island, about 50 miles SW of me (I’m in the NW US). The lakes are absolutely not frozen. :-)

Ah, I see that now, near Victoria. I was hoping for a frozen lake so we wouldn't be looking for yet another missing man who left a bar/ restaurant/ stadium/ (bowling alley) and drowned in a body of water.

I hope so too Zecats. Water is always bad news.

Police are very concerned for Joshua BENNETT's health and well-being and friends and family report that it is out of character for him to be out of contact for this long.

I am speculating that Joshua might be in the habit of leaving on his own for a couple of days but this time its longer than usual. Where is his residence in relation to where he was last seen.
Does he have a car/truck and if so is it missing. I haven't seen anything about any formal searches for Joshua in the area. Need more information about Joshua's disappearance.
