Beautiful country but I wouldn't want to be "out there" for an extended period of time, on foot, with all the critters. They may have bitten off more than they can chew if they are intending to live off the land for a bit.

MOO

I agree. Fleeing by vehicle did them no good. Gas costs money and by now they probably have figured out most gas stations have video surveillance. Living off the land won’t last long either. LE hold the advantage of helicopters with infrared and other detection technology.

So far it's been really quiet out there the larger towns flin flon ,The pas, Thompson and and the gas stations on the #6&#8 highway are looking out for them . In my opinion they found a shack or cottage to hole up in hopefully they were empty. If they were on foot the bushes are are tough and it's really easy to get lost.

What are the chances of a parking lot scanner thread happening here? I can't remember if we can get RCMP radios on the scanner....

I believe all RCMP radio transmissions are now digitally encrypted for security reasons.

Armed and dangerous B.C. murder suspects may have been in Manitoba: RCMP
"Cpl. Chris Manseau in an emailed statement said investigators were “trying to stress to the public we’re not limiting our efforts to the Province of Saskatchewan, based on the last confirmed sightings of Bryer Schemegelesky and Kam McLeod,” Manseau said on Tuesday.

“We want the public to be mindful that we received those photos within the last 24 hours, however the photos were taken some time before that. We believe that they have travelled since that time, and we are asking all Canadians to remain vigilant of them, not to approach them and to call 911 should they recognize them or the vehicle they were last known to be in: a grey 2011 Toyota Rav4.”
"....all Canadians to remain vigilant...". YIKES! Can this mean RCMP doesn't know where they are?

Mayor reiterates it's still not confirmed that the suspects are in Gillam, and that reports of a burned out vehicle being found has not been confirmed as the one the suspects were reported driving

Key update from
@proctor_jason
in Dease Lake: there aren't any missing people reported in Dease Lake, so it's not believed that the unidentified body found there is a local

Infared will be useless out there there are so many people that are hunting or at trap lines .the area has a lot of hunters that come there and tons of campers. The le in the area consist of local rcmp and some reservation cops no one really trained for this they usually handle domestic violence alcohol/drug issues and theft and can hardly handle that .

The RCMP is a national organization and they have the ability to move resources where required.

“The RCMP are carefully conducting their work with a large presence and I would like to ask all community members to report anything of concern directly to RCMP."...”

One thing I've also noticed about spree killing duos, which others alluded to earlier, is they often have shared fantasy worlds, which can be quite complex and even bizarre. It would not surprise me if details of that with these two eventually come out, especially considering they were childhood friends. Many of the others I know of hadn't really known each other for a long time but just had a strong natural affinity for each other. These two have had years to solidify their bond and build their own little world.
Exellent thought! Wonder if the fantasy world grew out of one of the video games that the 2 played? Does anyone on here have any familiarity with the game these 2 allegedly played and then reenacted in the woods? Wonder if there are any parallels to what we have seen play out so far in this tragedy?

@otto has done some great maps on the path of these 2 perps but little that we have seen in what appears to have been the early days of the 'spree' seemed to be linear IMO. We saw the perps going in multiple directions without much surface logic. But maybe the logic of their path might make sense in some fantasy world/video game sense that would be obvious to someone that knew the game. As outsiders not familar with the game/fantasy world there would seem to be a random and certainly non linear path to the events so far.

Curious what others think as the path of destruction here seems almost random IMO.

Yes they have been named by RCMP so SM is ok.
Are we allowed to link to any of their public online profiles here? or screenshots of them? I found some slightly interesting info[/QUO

Around the pas is Clearwater lake it's the clearest lake in North America 3 rd clearest in the world there's also a ton of other lakes in the area there's also a lot of hunters that come to Canada to that area to hunt and fish so there's so many tourists it's going to be hard to find them if they changed appearances.

I wonder why the need to remove the video interviews with Trevor Pierre.
I think that police are still investigating and making public statements could jeopardize the case. The RCMP have publicly requested people not give media statements but contact them first.

And that’s what’s scary.

To get what they want, they will likely feel compelled to kill for it.

They wouldn’t give that a second thought.

Let’s just hope they hunker down, and the victim count doesn’t increase.

I’m not optimistic though.
Agree!

One of the criminologists interviewed on CTV last night did not believe that the Fowler/Deese murder was the first act as a double murder is unusual first criminal action. His view was that there would be at least one prior event before the duble murder of Fowler/Deese.

He was suggesting that people check on loved ones and communities look in on the homebound etc. as his suspicion was that more bodies will be found that pre-date the Fowler/Deese murder.

The interview with Trevor Pierre that I saw yesterday said their bodies were pointing north, their heads were facing west, and they each had one hand underneath them. This interview has been clipped.

You might be interested in watching this, about the 4 minute mark. Although the bodies were apparently found in a similar position, I’m not so sure they could be considered posed.
