Oct 20022 from cbc update: After multiple calls and emails to RCMP prompting them to send the historical DNA for further testing at a better equipped lab, Trevor was told in a phone conversation with a now retired Mountie that a DNA profile has been sent to a private lab and that genetic genealogy was being employed as a technique to further the investigation. Those facts were confirmed in an email obtained by CBC News.

On Monday I listened through the Somebody Knows Something Season 5 on Kerrie Brown. This case was so compelling.

My thoughts:

1. Kerrie knew whoever was driving and/or in the vehicle she got into.

2. Whoever killed Kerrie, it was their first time killing and they were teenagers.

3. I don't think Patrick Sumner did it. Why would you keep living in Thompson if you were guilty? If I had committed a heinous murder, spent months in jail after being charged for that murder, and the entire town believed I was guilty, I'd have moved as far away as possible. I wouldn't want to continue to live in an isolated small town where I know everyone would have their eyes on me, looking for me to make slightest mistake which could lead to me being convicted.
