Kevin Bonada Rosas, 30, of Richmond Hill., was last seen on June 21 of that year at his Elmwood Ave. residence. He was reported missing by family on June 26.''

''On Monday, police said the Homicide Bureau has taken over the investigation and “will be conducting searches in several locations of interest.” Cops said they would not be disclosing the locations “at this time” and they did not explain why investigators now believe the case is a homicide.

He was reported missing for five days by his family on June 26, 2018.

Efforts to find him were unsuccessful, police said. In April 2021, the York Regional Police Services' Homicide Unit took charge of the investigation.

On June 5, 2023, human remains were found buried in the yard of the residence on Elmwood Avenue. Forensic examination confirmed them to be Bonada Rosas’.''

they must have gotten a tip and would've needed a search warrant?
so who tipped them off, who lived in that house when he was killed and who lives there now?

The house in question is 392 Elmwood Avenue in Richmond Hill. In December 2019 there was a shootout and police standoff with a man who barricaded himself in that same house. That man was arrested. So... Bonada was already buried in the backyard when that event happened? Google the 2019 incident and you'll see that there were literally a hundred police officers crawling over that house and property at that time. Police didn't recover the human remains until June 15 of this year.
